Corel WinDVD Pro which I bought to watch the boxset stopped working when I updated it. AACS key check error.

Been through support and they've agreed to refund my money because I submitted an RMA within 30 days.

Glad to get the money back but I'm left with an unwatchable boxset.

Have to fall back on PowerDVD 8 which plays everything else.

It sucks because this is the reason I switched from PowerDVD to TotalMedia Theatre in the first place.

I decided to download the latest update which broke it.

Anyway, they've refunded me now including the tax. Still trying to decide whether to keep it as I'd have to buy the latest version of PowerDVD - the version I have came free with the Blu-ray drive.

Hope you have better luck.
I recommend PowerDVD Ultra 11. Works with no issues at all for me.

Too late now. I'm happy with the free software I have.

Another member here mentioned this for DVD's, I think it also plays BD's. I haven't used it much as I only have a DVD drive with PowerDVD.

Now I've got this, I've been clearing out my old DVDs. I've got the original 2-disc DVDs of Eps 1, 2 & 3, and the silver box set of the original trilogy (with the special edition versions on). I know the Ep 1 doc isn't included on the new Blu-ray set, so I'll hang on to that, but is there any other docs that I need to hang on to the DVDs for?

There are about zero extras carried over from the DVDs so if your an extras fan, I'd hold on to those discs.

Make sure you keep the Bonus disc of the OT Boxset which has the excellent Empire of Dreams doc on it.

I certainly regret selling my prequel DVDs, the extras on the new set suck. It really was daylight robbery from Lucasfilm.

The Phantom Menace 3D trailer is now up. I'm still unsure, this is a great opportunity to finally see all the Star Wars films at the cinema (I only saw ROTS on the big screen), but then again, this is The Phantom Menace. I don't hate it like practically everyone else does, but do I really want to pay to see it at the cinema?

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace - 3D Trailer - YouTube
Is that a user uploaded version?

It has a horrible green tint to it.

Anyway, no-one can tell you if you'd enjoy it on the big screen in 3D or not. Best thing to do is to draw on your own feelings after watching the 2D version on blu-ray, and decide if you want to shell out more than a standard ticket price to see Jar Jar in 3D.

Jar Jar in 3D. What a horrible, scary thought!

Personally, I'd never watch episodes 1 or 2 in 3D. I don't dislike them as much as everyone else, but I don't think it'll be worth the money either. Eps 3, 4, 5, 6 I would watch in 3D though.

Back on topic,
Is anyone selling their blu-ray boxset for a reduced price? It's not sliding in price as quickly as I hoped online, and I will never spend £75 for it in HMV.

Sainsburys Entertainment have it on their site as the 'Deal of the Day'... at £59.99. Not that much of a deal, and it means you have to deal with their awful customer service:

I don't get the green tint, but I'm hoping thats just the trailer and not the film because it looks retarded. Anyway, I will be seeing TPM again just for the sake of nostalgia.

A green tint? Uh oh. Has Peter Jackson been secretly interfering?

Huzzah! I finally got my refund from Paypal. I'd still like to know why it took over five weeks when others apparently got their money back almost instantly but at least it's done with now.

Didn't the Blu-ray of Episode II also get a greenish tint that wasn't there before? It's not like Lucas ever changed his mind before.

More likely that the Matrix has somehow gained access to Coruscant's mainframe, while the holographic system is running visual records of the Old Republic and the Empire, and infected it, lol!

Watch out for Agent Smith!

But yeah, the green tint in the 3D trailer is absolutely horrendous.

Yeah, it has an irritating teal tint but its nowhere near as bad as the dark green tone in TPM's trailer. I'm pretty certain it won't be there because it wasn't present on the Blu-ray.
