I really want the Uncharted 3 CE, but a couple things are holding me back:

First, these big CEs often go on sale for the same price as the actual game or cheaper, because if they don't sell out, they take up SO MUCH space that stores discount them to get rid of them. So I might wait it out and try to get one then.

Second, I almost never buy games on release day, because with all the DLC that exists in our world now, you end up paying $100 for a game after buying all of it, but if you wait long enough, a "complete" edition with all of the DLC included is available for $20-$40. And I'm fine waiting.

All of these various editions of Uncharted 3 though are sick. SteelBook, SteelBook with slipcover, and I think there's even a DigiBook edition out there somewhere.

If you meant this is the first collector's edition for sale then yes, you'd be correct. Uncharted 1 AND 2 BOTH had collector's editions. Those are incredibly rare. Only 200 were made, and they were given out by Naughty Dog or won in contests. You could not simply buy them, like all these crappy so-called "collector's editions" everyone releases now that aren't rare at all.

Maybe I shouldn't have told you that, because now the world shall surely come to an end if you don't find them and complete the collection! Since money is no object, they're going for 7-10 thousand dollars on eBay.

WOW is right SHIN what the hell kind of target do you have in your area? I can assure you its not Target policy at all to throw away slip covers no where in the policy does it say to trash slips in fact there isnt even any mention of slip covers in Targets policy it varies store by store on if they use security cases though(depends on the theft rate in the stores area) wow terrible just terrible customer service you go there and a moronic employee if you ask me. Shin I would like to apologize to you on behalf of all the Target employees on this site you truely had an idiot assist you on the phine this morning. What I would do is call corporate and report her dumbass. Anyway hope you get your Water for Elephants WITH slip which looks really nice I may have to get one myself was going to wait Until BF but taht slip is just to nice

I was about to open my Cars 2 3D copy. I take the slip off and I noticed, the plastic(that holds the artwork) is all wrinkly. It looks like somebody's grandmother.

I dont like when this happens. What causes it?

picked up the Metalocalypse Season III BD for 99 cents + tax at my local Goodwill, AND IT WAS STILL FACTORY SEALED w/ THE ORIGINAL ADVETISING STICKER ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT, comes with a nice slipbox.

know NOTHING about the show, but you cant beat a 99 cent brand new BD!

If it was a major problem with the Slipcover(something I did not notice at the store). That would be a different story.

Yes, but the OCD in me hates it when a studio changes layouts for titles...
In the pic above, Ratatouille has the blue box and blu ray logo at the top of the spine which doesn't match up with the rest(looks like a WB release)
and Cars 2 has that 3D logo that throws it off from the rest. Also, it looks off next to my other 3D disney titles b/c
on some the 3D logo reads horizontally and on others vertically

When I was at Best Buy before 10AM to pickup my Uncharted 3, there were about 10 cars waiting. I thought I should hurry since after seeing Shin's U3's CE I wanted to get it. (I had preordered the regular edition)
Out of all of us that went into the store I was the only one that picked up Uncharted. The rest were for Cars 2. Funny thing as well, all of them were checking the slipcover for the movie to make sure nothing is wrong with it.
