I want to add a holder inside steelbooks for extra discs ie add the flipper middle bit you get inside Pinocchio/Snow White or to add a holder bit to the inside front cover if there isnt one already there
I'm not very good at describing what I want but a steel book that looks likes this ![]() can have bits added so they can hold disc's like these ![]() |

There are plastic hubs you can buy that stick on to plastic surfaces to create a single extra disc holder.
What you are showing though compares apples to oranges. The SLEEPING BEAUTY uses custom plastics that the 2012 does not. And the last picture of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is an IronPack, not a SteelBook. You can exchange SteelBook plastics and metal covers, but you can't swap amongst SteelBooks and IronPacks. Many people will use dented SteelBooks as parts and create hybrid SteelBooks with more or less disc holders. |

I've been looking for something like this too. I want to get rid of my dvd cases but since I don't have a bluray player in my bedroom, would like to keep the discs. Will these spider things keep the disc far enough off the case so it won't get scratched?

I'm surprised there wasnt a sticky for steel/iron/metalbook modifications
and I'll be ordering some today, so if you can wait til they arrive I can vouch. though they should at least hold the disc a few mili-meters above a surface |

I purchase a 100 of those sticky hubs and to be honest I was a little disappointed in them. After a few days the adhesive goes all tacky and they begin to slide down. I just decided to swap my 1 disc frames with 2 disc frames it was a much better solution. As long as you have plenty of empty frames.

People ain't gonna like to hear this. But, keep in mind I only do it if there is a BONUS FEATURE disc that is included without a holder for it, which means I've only done it maybe 2 or 3 times. I WILL NEVER DO THIS to include a DVD copy or digital copy disc inside my steelbooks...
[Show spoiler] True story. I will never sell my collection of steelbooks, so I figure why the hell not. It's certainly a lot more permanent than any 'peel and stick on' product. ![]() |
