Giorgio Moroder made a colorized version with an 80's pop soundtrack. Finally, in 2007, nearly all of the cut footage was rediscovered in a museum in Argentina.
The version based on this, called The Complete Metropolis, is probably the closest we'll ever get to a definitive version.

Newest haul. Most came from Wal-Mart's 8 dollar bin. I love that little bin.

8 Dollar Bin:
Men In Black
Daybreakers
Terminator 2: Judgment Day

15 Dollars:
Donnie Darko

Cortese is right, and the performers on the soundtrack include Freddie Mercury, Jon Anderson, Pat Benatar etc.

Can't find the camera so stock picture goes up!

Is it slightly sad that i was so excited for this to arrive, probably! Childhood memories always override quality though.

i also blind bought it. Really looking forward to watching it, I just have to be in the right mood to handle the vile and disturbing scenes.

My dad owned it, and when we were at B&N and he offered to buy me s criterion, he just said that it couldn't be Salo because he just couldn't justify buying it for me so he said I had to buy it on my own. He said the same thing at the last sale about Antichrist

Salo is a blind buy for me as well. Some members told me it was an interesting film but others are now saying it is really, really bad I guess because of the disturbing scenes.

indeed. although I haven't had the opportunity to watch yet, just from the trailer and from certain scenes I've read about, you have to have a strong stomach.

So I just watched three different trailers on YouTube. This film does have a lot of disturbing scenes. Wow!!

Hodejegerne (Headhunters).

Good action/thriller, especially for a movie hailing from Norway. It'll surely be released internationally at some point, though I've got no idea when.
