I really hope that Universal puts together a set of the 4 Jaws movies like the Jurassic Park set. Maybe include a figure of Jaws smashing through a boat or something like the T. Rex figure that came with JP set! I'd like to have them both on a shelf!

Tremors 2, 3 and 4, and maybe (although highly unlikely) a proper remaster of the first one.

As long as I can buy the original film separately from the schlock, I'm cool.

Yet another 'way under the radar' title I would snap up in a second.

+1

I would certainly give a Jaws (and Jaws only) UCE a close look but all I really want is a nice, single-title digibook. I know a lot of people just want the disc(s) in a case but digibooks were made for titles like Jaws.

Universal have released an all-region BD of 'Born On The Fourth Of July' in the UK, and it's an excellent transfer. (I've tested it on my US player to make sure it plays OK.)

Here's a link to the Amazon UK page in case you're interested in ordering it. At only £6.67, it's a steal!

We might actually see that one octagon. Universal seems to be doing the Legacy series first because the titles in that DVD series were all high-def remastered. Psycho certainly turned out well.

A splendid time is guaranteed for all! Considering there was a fairly recent DVD release (2005) I could see them putting this out on BD eventually. If not next year then maybe for its 35th anniversary in 2013. Think I will pull out my DVD and give it a spin this week!

Cape Fear '62 and Smokey and the Bandit are available now Region Free from Amazon UK. Cape Fear '62 is heavily edge enhanced and will be complained about by everyone.

- E.T. and Jaws are probably going to be the big ones from Universal next year, I'll snatch those up immediately.

- The American Pie movies are pretty much a lock with the new movie coming out, if the "Meet the..." movies were any indication, I'm pretty sure we will get separate releases.

- Universal monsters are always welcomed!

- More Hitchcock is inevitable (If I had to guess, The Birds and Vertigo more than likely).

- To Kill a Mockingbird is celebrating its anniversary so that is all but confirmed.

- Speaking of catalog titles, since they are still going through their HD-DVD holdovers, how about some love for The Sting?

Wishful thinking (I know some of these are international already):
Mystery Men
Slither
The Flinstones
Weird Science
Halloween 3
Mulholland Drive

Eric Legay, marketing director for Universal France, already issued this statement back in June:

"Universal will also continue releasing Alfred Hitchcock movies on Blu-ray, but Legay noted that the flow of titles might be limited by the need to remaster them with the same level of quality as Psycho. "

I'm surprised no one has said October Sky. Very underrated movie from Joe Johnston. Looking forward to that, To Kill a Mockingbird, Jaws, and E.T., along with Hitchcock.
