Apologies for the 'newbie' question.

All the episodes have black bars down the left and right corners of the screen. I have tried adjusting the display settings to try and get full screen but no luck.

I'm surprised because the episodes were all full screen on the Special Edition DVD release, so I assumed they would be on the Blu Ray release.

If you have your Blu-ray player set up to display the correct aspect ratio for 4:3 material then you'll have the bars down the left and right, most BD players I've come across don't let you change the settings to stretch the screen unless you change that option. If you played the DVD set on your DVD player it's possible the picture was stretched (I assume the DVD's were 4:3 as well).

If you want to change the pillarboxing effect change your BD settings or use the zoom function on your TV.

The DVDs were 4:3, as they should be.

I hope the easter egg featuring Tony Curtis dropping the c word is still present and correct.

Picked up the set finally. Had to exchange it several times due to damaged cases.

In addition to the Curtis Easter egg, there was mentioned an additional one with new roger Moore footage or an interview? Jaz wiseman mentioned this on his morning after website. Has anyone located this egg on the set??

http://www.itc-classics.com/itcnews.html

terview with Roger Moore filmed during the production of The Persuaders! rediscovered after 40 years.

In 1994 whilst rummaging in the ITC faults I found the photo shown below. Since that time I have been trying to find the filmed interview and have had a number of French friends look for it. I had almost given up until last night when I spent some time doing some digging around on the internet. I emailed a French friend with a possible lead and late this afternoon he camme through with the news that the footage has been found. It's 3 and half minutes of behind the scenes on The Persuaders! More news about the footage will follow very soon...

And here are some screengrabs!

More from his set review aks located on his site. He again notes the egg?

All of the special features that graced Network's previous DVD release have been carried over and are presented in SD but they've added quite a lot of new material to what was already an impressive list. So alongside stuff like The Saint episode The Ex King of Diamonds (now in HD), the documentary - The Morning After - Remembering The Persuaders!, AVROskoop (found by long-time TMA honorary member Remco Admiraal), commentaries by Roger Moore, Tony Curtis, Bob Baker and other members of the production crew, the four compilation movies and their trailers, there is Curtis and Moore reunited on the Alan Titchmarsh Show, recently found production footage (including some behind the scenes) (mute, HD), extensive image galleries of rare and previously unseen stills (HD), previously unseen alternate title sequence (HD), contemporary French interview footage from 1971, 1972 Sun TV Awards footage, BECTU History Project audio interview with Johnny Goodman, more international TV trailers, script and Memorabilia PDFs and much, much more! They've even managed to get some unseen footage as an easter egg - good luck finding it!
