You're talking to a guy whose favorite film is Blade Runner, so no need to apologize for your taste.

In light of Spielberg's recent attitudes and behaviors regarding Blu-ray translation of his films, it should be a pretty stellar release. There aren't many Spielberg movies in my 'thumbs-up' pile, but Jaws is definitely among them!

Jaws and Duel are my two fave 'Speilbergs'. As for Ridley, Alien has to be my top but Bladerunner is ace also!

I'm also a big horror fan but i will leave it there for now! If you give a crap, i could send you my top film list sometime. (it's 100 strong)

Sure- I'd love to see it, if and when it's handy.

I tried to do a top 100 once, but after I hit 50 or so, I was left with about 300 movies that could make a solid claim to one of the last 50 spots.

Maybe I need to persevere. It just started to feel like too many babies and not enough bath-water.

Ask Penton if you can just post it in here...

Saw on of my top films yesterday on big screen for first time since late '90s... Von Tier's BREAKING THE WAVES. Alas, no Blu yet for that either...

I still need to check that out. I'm yet to encounter a Von Trier flick that does it for me.

I haven't seen Exorcist either, but after P and me going on about WHITE RIBBON a few Oscars ago, that's just inexcusable!

I watched the Exorcist years ago when i was a child (naughty) It has been diluted with rip-offs and spoofs but was obviously huge at the time and rightfully so.

White ribbon was a strange one. It grew on me slowly and i found myself having to watch it a second time to try and look for answers. Excellent film and looked stunning on bluray with its black and white cinematography.

Doctor Rossi, if you like gritty British films This Is England is a must. One of the stars, (Stephen Graham) is one of my favorite actors. He also starred in a TV spin-off of the film (TIE 86) and is about to appear (or so i read) in a three part special this Christmas also (TIE 88). He is one of those actors i can watch in anything. Along with Ed Norton and Jodie Foster to name a couple!

Seems Variety hasn’t yet published the winners from yesterday evening’s ceremony, so I’ll start out with a tip of the hat and congrats to colleague Steven Scott for Outstanding Color Grading using a DI process – Feature Film…..the film being The Help.

Coming to Blu-ray in December?
