Does any have any pictures of the double set? I heard it's not a steelbook so really wanna see what the inside packaging looks like. Thanks.

I posted this in the US thread. The US set is more elaborate and expensive (bottom picture).

I prefer the UK set, much more compact, looks better and easier to store, plus it's cheaper

I'm with you on that one, I like the tins but I'd like it if the Digipak inside had it's own case or slipcover as well and these seem to be a compromise. I think I'll wait until this set hits rock-bottom instead of just buying The Pacific on it's own.

Yer, I will probably get this. I already own the tins, but I am hoping that maybe I can fit the tins inside this set? But then I don't mind if they don't because this set is quite nice.

Nice set. I still have my standard BoB tin awaiting a viewing and I'm on tenterhooks as I'll watch it over 2 days if it's any good.

Hope The Pacfiic will also be worthy of my time.

I think the Digipak's for this set are smaller than the original ones which I think had a page/fold for each disc. I'd imagine this set will be only a little bit bigger than the tins themselves maybe about the size of the Stanley Kubrick set or the Family Guy It's A Trap! LE set.

The Driver you really should get around to watching and enjoying BoB, The Pacific wasn't in the same league (although I haven't seen it in it's entirety).

Two days???

I was gripped after the first episode and came blinking into the light 10 hours later after a marathon viewing.

Well, as promised, here are the pictures. They are poor quality I know, I took them on my 3gs and I had stuff in my hands haha.

EDIT: The silver bits on the front and spine were embossed if I remember correctly.

Are stores alright with you taking pics like that?

Well, that's another reason for the poor quality, I don't know whether I am allowed so it's a rushed job. I have taken a few pics before though so I don't see why not since they've never said anything. Most of them are funny prices.

It looks pretty thick. I'd imagine the normal Digipaks are in there with two slipcases around them.

Was that The Wrestler in the background for £3?

It looks like it, how did I miss that?!!!! I'm going back today then :P It was pretty thick. I would definitely have it over the tins. I will probably sell my tins soon for it.

It could be £3, or £8 which I think may be more realistic. Always a possibility though, HMV do get the occasional £3 blu.

True. It does look like £3 though. I just sold my The Pacific tin, so I've ordered this set now. I will post some proper pictures when it arrives. Ordered it from Bee.com who I've got to say are fantastic! Never ordered from them before but I ordered No Country For Old Men, The Blair Witch Project and King Arthur aswell this week, all arrived within 2 days! In a padded envelope as well may I just add! Cheap, cheerful, awesome!

Is it me or does the US look to be the better set? I am quite peeved though that I can get the UK set for half the price that I paid for my BoB DVD

Apparently the US set gets a booklet or something? Still, at the time I ordered I got $100 off my regional price.

Worked out to CAD $60 as the final price from something like $160 at amazon.com. They have it down to $99 now, but still, awesome deal.

The packaging reminds me a lot of the NA Battlestar Galactica reissue. Seems a little bigger though. I just hope it fits in my mailbox.
