I agree that they can't go on like this much longer. I recently was talking to a CC salesman when buying a TV and we both agreed that Toshiba is probably going to ride HD DVD right into bankruptcy.

It's like the little kid that does not want to lose so they keep challenging you to one more game even though playtime is over.

Toshiba is huge in many other venues, they are not going to risk their entire corporation on this tiny piece.
