I have all the individual Blus, a DVD box set with pirate action figure, a collector's edition trilogy and a Best Buy exclusive steelbook and I am DEFINITELY getting this set.

I wish all collector's editions were so elaborate and creative!

Besides, I never take such editions out of the shrink wrap anyway.

the german box is much cheaper

They tax everything like 28%+$15 handling here.. Kinda sucks tbh.. Although I think the expedited shipping option on Amazon allows one to prepay the fees which should work out a bit cheaper

Sure did - There was an unboxing under the Pirates regular release thread. Chest seems to be the best part. The map you get seems like a crappy piece of paper and the movies are housed in the same kind of cardboard thing as the Lion King. Just seems pricey but im still tempted. What to do...

Thanks. Just watched the video.

Chest looks AWESOME but that cardboard coin box is the deal-breaker. Shame they didn't make that some sort of plastic. I imagine opening and closing that part a few times and the creases will tear.

Too bad...AWESOME box!

That's why I made a last minute judgment call to go SB/MP route...as I dislike those holders.

That collector's chest is sweet but I already own the other three so I just picked up the regular version.

I'll wait for reactions on this one - chests have a slightly bad rep after that 'Toy Story 1-3 Ultimate Toy Box Collection'. Hopefully, this release will be better than that... thing!
