Umm... they're making more shelf space for the 40GB models that are selling much better.

I wanted a quiet system (65 nm tech) and I don't own a PS2 so the 40GB model was a no brainier for me. Don't know about the rest of you, but since HDD upgrades down the road are a snap, the 80GB didn't make a whole lot of sense for the price they're asking.
