Hopefully not a repost but Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is available for pre-order at www.CircuitCity.com. Scheduled release is 3-18-08.

I know you can download the Japan version right now but might as well wait another 2 months for the US version for some people.

hey thats teh awesome...will you be able to transfer over everything you earned to the full game when it comes out?

That's a good question....I'd have to think yes that a lot it will transfer over and save you some tasks in the full version. Just a guess though.

That's the plan, yes. Only with same-region saves though.

Im not sure bout being able to transfer progress. I ordered gt5 prologue, it should be here tommorow. Did'nt want to wait.

can anyone explain to me how to get the japanese version of gt5 prologue? is it something you buy on blu or download from the psn?

Half a game? What am I missing? Is this a "Placate the Groupies" early release until the full version comes out? Or is that what they mean by "Prologue". I haven't heard...I'm really looking forward to this one.

Yes... Prologue is about half the game. The full version is due out later this year. Thus, the reason why I won't be buying Prologue. Combined the "game" would be ~$90. I'll wait for the full version.

The screenshots and commentary so far is that GT 5 WILL redefine the racing simulation genre for consoles. Having played the "demo" from last October even that was good. I'm prepared to be blown away by GT5 and it WILL get my money the day the full version is available.

Gran Turismo is 40% of the reason I bought my PS3 (can you guess what the other 60% is?) and I will absolutely be buying the full version.

i wouldnt go so far as to say gt5 prologue is HALF the game...more like 5%? it has about 40 cars while the full version has 900 cars and a lot more races. the final version will blow anything racing related out of the waters

Agreed. I like that car selection in prologue too. The Audi RS8 is going to be fun to drive.

I've been playing it for a month. Definitely worth it if you like racing sims.
