Have they changed the size of the set? Are they all slimcases now? My set (which I've not opened) is three US 11mm cases with a slim-slim case for Wolverine.

No, the size of the set is exactly the same, which surprised me when my friend told me it came with 4 discs instead of 7.

I just contacted Amazon and they're sending me a copy of the 7 disc edition free of charge. They don't even want me to return the 4 disc version I got!

Amazon (UK) rules!

Amazon are pretty great (apart from when they cock-up prices depriving us of dirt-cheap Blu-rays). Glad you got your replacement.

I think the Wolverine case is a bit thicker. If you got the slim-slim case for Wolverine, then you probably got the "proper" 7 disc version.

Amazon UK is great. Amazon US sucks big time. I have orders from over a month ago from Amazon US that I haven't received yet, while the orders I make from Amazon UK usually take a little bit over a week to get delivered to me. I'm in Argentina, BTW.

Well, that would suck. I bought one the first of October and left it sealed because it was supposed to be a gift. Amazon didn't actually ship it until late October since it was held up waiting on another title.

I don't suppose there is any way to tell without opening is there?

If you look at the underside of the box it should say 'Disc 1 for each film- BD50 Dual layer Format. Disc 2 for each film- BD25 Single Layer Format (Not Including Wolverine).

Indeed it does! There's all kind of useful information on the bottom of boxes these days!

I checked mine it's the 7 disc set. Thanks Sky_Captain!

I bought mine a couple of weeks back and received it just a few days ago. I was confused at the time of ordering, because I found two listings for the Quadrilogy on Blu-ray - one for £14.97 and one for (I think) around £25. I picked the cheaper one, and either I was lucky in the one I chose, or Amazon sent me the other one anyway, because I got the 7-disc set.

I've just had a look, and Amazon has a listing at http://www.amazon.co.uk/X-Men-Quadri...1810740&sr=8-1 for £14.97, but the product details now say it's only 4 discs.

There's also an entry at http://www.amazon.co.uk/X-Men-Quadri...1810740&sr=8-3 that specifies it's the 7-disc set, but it now sells 3rd-party and for around £40.

So I guess they've changed the product, and for once I didn't wait too long.

Oh, I had never seen that other, more expensive listing, I didn't know there were two versions. I also had a friend who ordered the cheaper version and it came with the 7 discs as well.

I'd been dallying with "will I/won't I" buying for a while, and I'd never seen the other listing either, until I finally went to order. I think it only appeared in the transition to the new 4-disc pack.

It was (I think) the 4-disc pack that was the more expensive, for a time - I assume the low price on the 7-disc was at least in part to clear stock.

I was really waiting for the trilogy to drop in price, because that's all I really wanted - I'd seen about half of the Wolverine flick before, and didn't think I wanted it. (And I've never liked Wolverine much as a character.) But now that I've seen the whole thing, it's not so bad. I'd rather have just the "X" on the front of the box, though.

They some times do bring it down to the same price so you'll have to wait and see.
