United Kingdom Rayman Origins – 1080p 60fps Gorgeous 2D Platforming Challenge

Can't find a thread for this game so thought I'd give it a go and start one myself!

So has anyone got this game, first impressions, easy Plat'?

It's not out here (UK) until Friday 25 Nov!

Absolutely LOVED the demo, definitely buying this, not so sure about an easy plat as I'm sure the timed runs will get quite tricky.

Didn't realise there would be timed runs lol! Never mind this'll be one that I can just admire and enjoy!

You can try it with the first level in the demo. After you beat it once, return and there's a clock near the start to punch.

demo protip: for the 350 points level targets, notice that collecting some 'big' things makes all the lums(?) turn red and they're worth double.

I'm all set to get the game this Friday, but I can definatly see this game bombing in the marketplace. Once again, a great and unique game is going to die on its feet due to poor managment and marketing.

So far I've only seen one advert here in the UK for it, shame really the demo was so much fun!

I've been waiting for a decent platform game for ages and this seems to be the one lol!

Rayman 3's getting an HD remaster. I didn't enjoy (or get very far with) it when it first released because it encourages you to rush through levels the first time through. A design like Origins' is much smarter, you've got to soak in the atmosphere first!

I can't remember if levels were designed to be sped through, so the levels aren't as fleshed out as Rayman 2's.

The first Rayman was one of the hardest (and best) platformers I've ever played. Every sequel since has been disappointing—until now. I will totally get this game once I finish Uncharted 3 and Batman.

EDIT: And Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One. I don't know how I forgot about that one.

That's Rayman 2, the best 3D Rayman.

I don't know of any Rayman games on PSN with trophy support. Rayman (1) PSone is on there I think.

I don't think I'd buy a remastered release of Rayman 3 unless it was bundled with Rayman Revolution, the PS2 version of Rayman 2. Although it's a great game, it doesn't reach the heights of its predecessors. I think the first two Rayman games (particularly the second one) are brilliant and I look forward to playing Origins, whenever that is.

Absolutely LOVE the Rayman series, but honestly this game to me is worth about 40 or 30 dollars.

I just beat the game. Its fun and def cool to play 4 players. If you have 4 ppl in your house or friends it makes it soo much better.

I've got the missus she's not an avid gamer like myself (she did like playing Nach Der Untoten though) so do you think she would like it?

What are the trophies like?
