I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but it really irks me when a movie that I love is NOT released in North America, but it is somewhere else.
Case in point: Capricorn One Bound The King of Queens This is quite bothersome because all of the above were produced in North America, but sadly, the bluray release can be enjoyed elswhere. Yes we have DVD releases of them all, but the quality is poor, especially with Capricorn One & Bound being NON-ANAMORPHIC widescreen! Is there any hope, or is it hopeless? Unfortunately, my prediction is that it is hopeless. |

The individual Narnia releases are out there, but France got a beautiful Narnia Trilogy set, that I want. And since they won't be making any more movies for a number of years (the contract has expired and moratorium keeps them from making any more for a while) I would like the box

Sad but true there a quite a few movies which have been lucky enough to be restored and released to Blu-Ray outside of the USA Region 1. Of those I miss the most are:
Capricorn One(1978) Cabaret(1972) The Deer Hunter(1978) The Elephant Man(1980) The Producers(2005) - the musical version Zulu(1964) I don't know the quality of the transfers of the movies above. Hope we see them soon in the USA... and hopefully quality transfers too. If not I can continue to wait. ![]() |

I believe Sunrise has only been released in the UK.
To add insult to injury, it has also been discontinued. I hope Fox is considering releasing it in North America, or at least licensing the flick to Criterion or Kino. Last edited by WeeBey; 11-25-2011 at 11:25 PM. |

The Curse of the Jade Scorpion (2001)
Small Time Crooks (2000) Celebrity (1998) Everyone Says I Love You (1996) Might Aphrodite (1995) Bullets Over Broadway (1994) All Woody Allen's films;all Scandinavian releases. Is there any "beef" goin' on between Woody and studios who own the rights of his older movies?....I think his oldest Bluray movie released on N.American soil is "Match Point"...?!That's embarrassing.
