Anyways, this brings me to my next point. Given that the industry is shifting their resources to Blu-ray, it would only be natural for Microsoft to also support a Blu-ray Player add-on to the 360 since the HD-DVD add-on probably is not going to go anywhere anytime soon.

I believe a certain percentage (those w/out hate towards SONY) of 360 owners are waiting for the price of the PS3 to reach a "warrant price point" before they shell out the bucks for one so that they too can experience true 1080p HD, Blu-ray, and PS3 gaming. However, if Microsoft does release the BLu-ray add-on, I believe they will have the misconception of thinking that the Blu-ray add-on is adequate for their HD movie watching experience and that the games on the 360 are good enough to suite their gaming needs.

Now, if Microsoft does develop a Blu-ray add-on to the 360, what do you guys think that will do to the sales of the PS3?
I've read time and again that Bill Gates and Microsoft DO NOT wish to support Blu Ray. When you think about everything the PS3 already has built into it, the BD player, wireless internet, etc, it is far cheaper in the long run to buy the PS3 outright. Most who bought the 360 only support MS, who in turn support digital downloads. So I don't see them offering the Blu Ray add-on, continuing support of hd dvd until they can perfect their downloads. They also think that a dvd-rom is "good enough" for their games. Even if they do release the add on for Blu Ray, I doubt it will go over well.
