Default First Knight coming out on BD April 29th!

YES! I'm definitely psyched for this one, I think this was one of the more underrated movies of the 90's. Definitely one of my top favs. This movie gets my blood flowing everytime, can't wait!

"In an early announcement to retailers, Sony has revealed plans to bring the Sean Connery-Richard Gere adventure 'First Knight' to Blu-ray this April.

Originally released as a bare-bones DVD back in 1997, Sony will be re-issuing the Jerry Zucker-directed flick for the first time as a special edition this April 29, concurrently on Blu-ray and standard-def DVD."

Awesome. First Knight is a really good (and popular) movie.

I'm happy for you but this movie really did nothing for me - however it's a good sign to see Sony re-releasing their bare-bones DVD's and offer something more; even if it's not that much more...

This is a pretty good movie. I would add it to my collection, but I dont see myself normal retail price for it. I will probably wait for it to be offered in a promotion.

It's weird, I never thought of this as "popular", I always thought this one flew under the radar.

This is a movie people normaly don't think of, but this would be one that I am going to have to take a look at when it comes out.

Great, I love this movie and ironically just had a conversation with one of the Blu blooded co-workers regarding when it's coming out. Since it's only a few days after my birthday, I guess I'll just surprise myself with this title.

It's not a particularly good movie, but I'm a sucker for all things Arthurian, so I'll give it a shot.

More for the amazing Jerry Goldsmith score than anything, though.

I liked it OK. I hope there's a directors cut on Blu, because you get the distinct impression a lot was chopped off of this movie. Can't say I enjoy Gere as an action star, but Ben Cross is brilliant as Malagant.

while i find this movie a waste of space, like any other movie, i'm sure it has an audience.

good to see some back catalog stuff coming out. i wonder -- where did this rank in that sony movie poll that was running back in '07 in this forum.

Ben Cross always plays great villains.

I saw it for the first time just recently on DVD (a Christmas gift). I thought the movie was okay. Sean Connery is always good. But, now that I've already seen it, I'm not sure if it is one that I would be repeat viewing on Blu. I would much rather have Excalibur on Blu (Hello, Warner!).

Instant buy for me. I enjoyed it, and it has extremly high WAF, all the better to help her enjoy Blu-ray (Harry Potter OOTP last night didn't hurt either).

I used to think that, too, until I saw The Wind and the Lion.
