hey guys, AMAZON.CO.UK has a region-free version of the Alien Blu-ray Quadrilogy for DIRT cheap. Although the packaging is different(its a slip-case with a multi-disc blu-ray case), it only cost me $21 SHIPPED!!!! I got it as a gift for a friend, and while the case isn't as cool as the american version, I have to say, the american version actually doesn't hold the discs so well! check this deal out NOW!!!

thanks op had to bite for this price...only saw alien 1 when i was like 12. but everyone seems to be saying this is incredible. Are the blus themselves the same PQ and AQ wise anyone?

Everything is exactly the same except for the little 12 and 18 number things they put on the box and the discs. I got a copy of the set from the UK and it's great, especially for the price!!

These cheap deals on things that were released over a year ago are redundent as 99.99% of the consumers bought it in the first month or two

thanks for advise on being the same as US versions...as for oldbones; alot are smart enough to wait for deals, I have a 500+ backlog of blus to watch personally and that alone keeps any opening day buying mistakes at bay...

Actually, I don't think posting up deals on older movies or box sets is redundant at all. You would be surprised how many people actually wait for a better price; I'm sure it's a lot more than 0.01% (lol, I'm sure you were exagerating some on that number, at least I hope you were). I waited for a good price on the Alien set, and I'm a fan of the franchise (had the initial Alien dvd set, and I still have the Alien Quadrilogy set).

I had the Alien Quadrilogy set and it got lost in one of my many moves.
I really wanted this, especially the collectors edition with the Egg. But i'm not gonna pay for something i had years ago at full price only to re-purchace again at full price.

just curious, but how did you only have to pay $21? I recently bought the set for the same price, and with shipping to the u.s., i'm paying $23.97.


I'm happy with this deal, but i've seen other posts also claiming to have gotten the set for $20 and i want to know if i'm missing something and not saving a few bucks.
