Browns Def/St kept them in a lot of games...... they lost this one (that and Shurmur got out-coached BADLY!)

This offense is a joke, and this isn't the first time he's been out-coached. Why does Holmgren still feel that the "West Coast Offense" is the recipe for success? Our 2 yard slants on 3rd and 8, just aren't cutting it.

Damn, I'd forgotten 60 Minutes was still on TV. But after the Pats-Broncos I watched a little of it and they have a very depressing piece on Cleveland. Showing neighborhoods in that city where entire streets are vacant homes, some 2-story homes selling for $8,000. That's half what my car is worth. My city is bad, but nowhere near THAT bad.

I haven't been there in quite a while, but they seemed to really be cleaning it up when I was there in '94. I guess the economic downturn has really hurt them. I was born in Toronto (population: 2,480,000), but now live outside the city. I can't recall there ever being entire neighbourhoods abandoned and homes selling for those kinds of prices. Hell, I could get $5,000 for the sh*tbox I currently drive. Hopefully there will be an economic upswing and Great cities like Cleveland will get back on their feet.

Yet they (suburb technically though) still charge me $8,500 a year in taxes for my house

I won't get into all of that.

As for the hapless Browns.... here is my typical season:

1) Watch/Grade the Draft (excited about Phil Taylor )

2) Go into the pre-season just happy there is football on, telling myself that the pre-season is meaningless, but looking for some players to shine... Liked what I saw from Colt McCoy, but I've been upset since the moment we drafted him, but hoped for the best.

3) Season starts, EXCITEMENT!

4) Games come up with a nervous excitement to them.

5) Befuddlement

6) Anger

7) Apathy

8) Humorous

Now is the time to just sit back and laugh

Yeah but the game was honestly everything we each could have asked for , minus the loss part on your side, it was competitive fun and should have been moved to Sunday Night

This was a great weekend. My Cowboys won, the Giants and Packers both lost and New England ended all this Tim Tebow garbage. Thanks go out to the Skins and KC, well done boys. Most of all thanks to the Pats and Tom Brady. Thats all I heard on ESPN and so fourth about this magic and all this crap about Tebow and the Broncos. Well I hope I dont have to hear Skip Bayless and his rants on how great Tim Tebow is and how all he is is a winner and a baller. It was wake up time for Tebow and the Broncos. Awsome weekend in football.

Same old Chargers. Most of the time they badly underachieve than a few times each year they look like an elite team.

So, like the whole Ravens year, we lose to bad (sub .500 going in) teams. With 4 minutes left down 3+ possessions I wish they would just put in backups and third stringers to get them some play time. We lost this game, no use risking injury to starters. Get the backups some real game time.

Good thing there shouldn't be any sub .500 teams in the playoffs this year.

All I can say is, GO NINERS TOMORROW!!!!!

I never know what to think of Baltimore. Most weeks they look like a top-tier team and Super Bowl contender, but every so often they lay a real egg. They have the talent, I'm just not sure they're consistent enough to go on a Super Bowl run.

Yea they have the talent. Just need to get rid of Flacco and his stupid handlebar stash.

Flacco needs to have his stache shaved off. He has looked like absolute crap tonight, throwing an almost INT, then the next play throwing the INT right into a defenders hands.

He is without a doubt the inconsistent part of the team. The DEF does have problems sometimes but it's usually when Flacco craps out and they spend the whole game on the field.

EDIT@alkalinesi: TOTALLY CORRECT!!! I think with an elite QB the Ravens would be unstoppable. We have greatness at every other aspect of the game. For years they said it was because Flacco had no weapons, now he has Boldin, Evans, Smith, Dickson, Pitta. No excuses left.

That's part of their strategy... Not letting their opponents know what to expect should make their way to the Super Bowl easier...

I just think the team talent-wise is similar to the 2000 team. Their defense isn't quite that unbelievably good like the 2000 team, but they should follow that model. Flacco just tries to do far too much. That 2000 team won with an offense that stuck to the run, minimized turnovers and let the defense do it's thing.

As crazy as it sounds, I'm not so mad about this loss. I would much rather have lost this than our next 2 games against our own division.

Well I did expect the Broncos to get blown out, didn't think it would be 41-23 though or that they would run so well. Just glad Tebow got whupped, doubt it will happen again next week though.

The reason they won so many is the reason they lost this time around. Turnovers.
