I haven't had time to read or look into it much, but in regard to Quinn and dexter, Quinn know nothing? I always thought that lil head nod at the end of last seasons episode, signified "I'll keep it on the down low" lol. I should really rewatch that eppy then.

Quinn knew it was Liddy's blood and I think he knew that Dexter knew. Maybe he wasn't aware that he knew ahead of time but figured he was helping him out since he was with Deb at the time

I'm hoping they go really twisted and do an "incestuous" bonnie and Clyde type season ....Deb and Dex making out and killing baddies

I agree on this one, it would be cool if he were in fact
[Show spoiler] aware of Dexter being a serial killer, if he went looking for a job there to stay close to him and "study" him it would be interesting, Dexter has done the same thing in the past... the fact that he sent the ITK's evidence to him does suggest he knows something... but to what extent?

The final scene was pure brilliance, Travis waking up seeing Jesus was hilarious in a twisted way, the conversation he had with Dex was pretty cool, I have always enjoyed how Dex makes them see they are on his table because of the choices they made...

Dexter's choice of words when he sees Deb was priceless!

It's gonna be a long wait til September...

I don't think he knows anything, he was the one who bought the hand from the web auction for his collection and obsession with serial killers. He sent it to Dexter, because Dexter hated on his video game idea and he wants to get Dexter fired now so he can have his job. The big thing with next season is who will find it in Dexter's apartment, because at the moment the only fingerprints on it are Travis'.

well yeah that might be the case too, I just thought Louis's choice for serial killers was odd... Jack the Ripper and then the bay harbor butcher... I don't know, it was almost as if he was expecting some kind of reaction from him, given that up until talking to Dexter, no one who knew about his game was aware of the fact that you would assume the role of a killer...

Great observation btw, I hadn't thought of Travis' fingerprints on the box and the hand....

The last two episodes
[Show spoiler] seemed pretty disappointing, I expected much more things to happen during these last two episodes. Then when he had Travis on the table I just wanted to scream, "THERE'S ONLY A MINUTE LEFT BEFORE THE SEASON FINISHES!!! WILL SOMETHING HAPPEN ALREADY!!!" Then Debra walks in . A great ending and hopefully it will be a great set up for the seventh season. Hopefully there is a real conflict now, although I think the dynamics are very different than second season for the seventh season to top it, but it could turn out to be great. The fact that Debra is in love with Dexter could change things, but maybe the shock of seeing Dexter kill someone will smack that little romance out of her. At least I hope it does, I don't want a tag team thing to be honest.

The season was good. I have to watch the entire season again because seeing one episode per week takes a little bit away from the feel of the season. But if I had to rate it along with the others, I'll probably end up with this list

Season 2 (most suspenseful)
Season 1
Season 4
Season 6
Season 3 ( I greatly enjoyed the Miguel Prado character. I highly liked this season but the "skinner" brings it down a notch)
Season 5 (Good follow up to the conclusion of Season 4 imo)

It was odd how no one brought up to Louis, not even Dexter, that Dexter's wife was murdered by a serial killer. Like how despite everything that happened in season three, Bay Harbor Butcher was never mentioned.

Do you mean when he approached him about the game? Now that I think of it, I am surprised no one mentioned it to him. Did Jamie know that he was making a game that you can be the killer or did she only know it was based on everything around it? If she knew I'm sure she would've told Louis and say maybe it's not a good idea.

It is kinda strange that his game included known killers then randomly the Bay Harbor Butcher, not even Trinity who was more widely known., and recent. I'd think if he knew about Rita then he would've included Trinity to get to Dexter if he in fact knows about him

If I remember correctly, everyone knew the game was based on Miami metro but no one knew the player would take the role of the serial killer... Louis even tells this to Dexter when he shows him the menu screen of the game... and yeah, the choice of serial killers was odd when he included the ITK...

As much as I enjoyed the season finale, one thing that bothered me was Laguerta, she spent the whole season making Deb's life difficult and in the end after DDK escapes she is all supportive to Deb...

I really wish Dexter's episodes had commentaries...
Boardwalk Empire is one of the best shows on TV. But am I the only one who felt the season 2 finale was a letdown? I enjoy Homeland and Game of Thrones too.

Pretty much all the sitcoms I watch these days outside of Walkign Dead and American Horror Story are Showtime or HBO.

Season 4 is my favorite season by a mile, thanks in large part to Trinity being my favorite nemesis of Dexter. Lithgow was just perfectly cast for tha role.

True, John Lithgow was great as Trinity, the best villain in the show so far. Still, I found the amount of suspense surrounding season 2 to be more entertaining than Season 4. The cliffhanger of the very first episode, The Miami Police department looking for The Bay Harbor Butcher, Lundy, the situation between Doakes and Dexter escalating to such a climax, and just about everything imaginable pointing to Dexter at times.

I was split between Season 1 and 4, but I think I like the first season a bit more. It's damn close though.

As for Season 6
[Show spoiler] it felt like it missed a few great opportunities in the last two episodes, it could have changed my perception of the season a bit if they had jumped at those chances. The ending was great, but for some strange reason it just felt like the last two episodes dragged along until that big reveal. I would have liked it if Gellar would have been around with Travis after they revealed he was dead. He was written off after that and as a result, Travis had no conflict. It could have been a bit more interesting if Travis still had some struggles or if his blackouts still occurred. I was a bit disappointed that he just turned out to be a regular killer, although with big delusions, instead of a truly sick person that had a great internal battle. The kill would have been better if at a moment "good travis" would have shown up while he was on the table and realized the evil things he did, then he would have agreed with Dexter killing him. That actual killing of Travis wasn't really satisfying for some reason. Great cliffhanger though........The earlier part of the season was great as well with brother sam and all the different kills Dexter did.

Although she didn't seem 100% sure Deb's plan would work. We all know LaGuerta had her share of bad decisions when it came to similar cases.

She realized Deb was allowing her emotions to take control of her, so maybe at one point LaGuerta wasn't a heartless, selfish ***** and was the same way.

I've hated LaGuerta since the show started. Every time I think things are moving towards her downfall she acts nice for a change and saves her skin. I've wanted to see LaGuerta and Matthews both on Dexter's kill table for years now. Unfortunately it looks like Matthews may have escaped. They better not finish off season 8 and have LaGuerta still breathing.

Why would Matthews ever be on Dexter's kill table? He loved Harry's kids! He's the only reason Deb even got promoted, and he's always been impressed by Dexter.

He's always seemed like a shady guy, and sorry but I'm not buying the "it was just an OD" call girl story. If he's got dead escorts in his closet I imagine he'd have even more nobody knows about yet. As far as promoting Deb goes it seemed more politics than anything. I guess that's what always rubbed me the wrong way with LaGuerta and Matthews both. It's always petty politics with very rarely about doing what's right/best for the department.
