I'm watching Alien right now on blu-ray...Scott is not, I repeat, NOT fooling me . This film looks to have a greater connection to Alien than he's letting on.

I really think that the main reason why they stopped calling it an Alien movie was so that they can get a budget cut. I am sure there is some contract that entitles Alien ownership too more money should another be made. So instead they said f*&@ it. We'll call it Promethueus,

Giler and Hill are still listed as Producers...so I doubt that's the case.

no, the reason they arent calling it an Alien movie is simple. the iconic Alien xenomorph is NOT in the film. thats what people think of when they hear 'Alien'. if people go into Prometheus expecting that there are going to be a lot of pissed off people. the same people who own Alien are the ones making Prometheus it has nothing to do with rights.
