There are also rumors which I read at http://www.avpgalaxy.net (cant find the exact article) which says in the timeline event of Prometheus, the company which runs all their sinister shit will only be Weyland, not Weyland-Yutani as they haven't merged yet. I don't know..lol

I cant wait to find out WTF is the gooey green shit which Fassbender is seen pulling out from the "ampule"..
[Show spoiler]looks some sort of early stage of Alien/Facehugger biological elements or whatever the hell it is

I was always under the impression that the company only knew as much as Ash told them in his reports.
[Show spoiler]I'm still unclear on if the company new of the xenomorph specifically prior to the dispatch to the planets surface, or if they determined "crew expendable" upon details of the Xenomorph provided from Ash

Yeah they said the suit/himself which he is wearing is some sort of fossilized due to time and therefore its kinda fused to the goddamn chair

Really? If they built the trailer pack right it should of been the third or fourth trailer to play. Maybe the trailer was not shipped to them yet. It has been known to happen.

Here's something i've been thinking about:

In Alien, the crew of the Nostromo are awakened, to investigate a distress signal on LV-426. When Dallas, Lambert, and Kane are investgating the ship, Ripley information Ash, that the distress signal looks to be more of a warning.

I always presumed the signal came from the space jockey race. But, it could very well be left from the crew of the Prometheus.

This is something i'm guessing. Along with, I don't think any of the crew will survive. If someone does survive, the company will ask them to keep all information about LV-426 secret. Or the company may just decide to silence them anyway, to hide their secrets.

Just some food for thought and guessing on my part.

I believe the crew of the Nostromo were all part of a deep space mining expedition, probably to parts of the universe that had never been discovered yet. I am sure that the crew of the Prometheus, will lose contact somehow with Earth and never relay LV-426 coordinates, but they will all probably die and leave a encoded warning signal before they do. Which unfortunetly, the Nostromo ship detects and redirects the crew to discover the fate of the classified mission.

the dude jumping off the top of the tank/transport/whatever is definitely no longer human, i never noticed that before. looks like the crew ends up becoming infected/mutated and turns on each other.

The trailers and promos have all been aligning with the bioformer / wormhole script synopsis that surfaced a few weeks ago.

I didn't think about it until now...but Alien took place in the 22nd century...and Space Jockey is petrified...so the events surrounding it's death would need to take place at least 100 years in the past which is too recent for the tech shown...jumping to the conclusion that timetravel is involved somehow. Forgive me if this has been stated directly already or a known given in an interview somewhere.

I just spent some time watching the scene with the skeletal pilot (Space Jockey) with narrative by Ridley and the cast. (1999 and 2003 narrative)
He metions that he would like to make a future film about the Space Jockey race and home planet. He speculates that the ship is a military vessel carrying biological bombs (eggs) designed to kill whatever race populates planets they have designs on.

Seems to me, the Space Jockey pilot is nothing more than a fossilized skeleton when discovered in the Alien movie. Any clothing or suit would have disintegrated over time. It implies a significant period of time has passed since the Space Jockey's demise.

Anyone care to speculate about the significance of the sculpture of the giant "human" head that appears in the Prometheus stills and trailers? The Space Jockey appears humanoid, but definitely not human based on the huge skeletal remains depicted in Alien.
