Shallow Hal Blu-ray Review

'Shallow Hal' has received a release date of January 10, 2012, courtesy of 20th Century Fox.

Shallow Hal stars Jack Black, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jason Alexander. The film is Directed by Bobby Farrelly, and Peter Farrelly.

Following the advice of his dying father, Hal dates only women who are physically beautiful. One day, however, he runs into self-help guru Tony Robbins, who hypnotizes him into recognizing only the inner beauty of women. Hal thereafter meets Rosemary, a grossly obese woman whom only he can see as a vision of loveliness. But will their relationship survive when Hal's equally shallow friend undoes the hypnosis?

Will probably get it for like $5, don't like Jack Black that much and Gwyneth is honestly not that attractive.

I found this movie hilarious, day one for me. Here is hoping for a decent transfer.

good movie, probably wont buy it on BD though,, really hope we see Saving Silverman and Orange County next year, those are Jack Blacks 2 best movies

I thought this movie was enjoyable and funny. I'll probably buy it to also have a few more comedies in my collection.

I will be getting this. Saw it in a theater when it first came out. There was a woman next to me and my girlfriend laughing so hard she fell out of her seat.

Let's have Saving Silverman on blu too.

Shallow Hal needs a BD release!

I loved this movie!!!

Shallow Hal, School of Rock, Saving Silverman, and Pick of Destiny are my top favorite Jack Black comedies.

Darth Anakin is right ... I've never been a fan of Jack Black either. I thought Jack Black was the worst casting for King Kong as I was expecting a serious film. Shallow Hal wasn;t a particular good film either ...

I really enjoy this movie. In genral must people see it as a comedy but the message in it is very porwerful and goes beyond comedy.

I could tell you thought that played better in your head.

I enjoyed this movie. Had a lot of laughs, Jason Alexander was hilarious in this. Will buy when it drops below $8 or so.

This is one of those movies that I didn't really care for the first time I saw it, but over time has become one of my favorite comedies. I know Jack Black isn't for everyone, but I find him to be funny. School of Rock, Shallow Hal, Tropic Thunder, Pick of Destiny, and Nacho Libre are all really funny in my opinion. I do agree that he was miscast in King Kong though.

That's exactly with me ... I just didn't like the movie ... and it's not the only one. Jack Black could be a serious actor but he seems to be stuck with making an ass of himself whenever he's in a serious movie.

King Kong could have been a decent movie but he attempted to turn it into a comedy film.
