So far I'm enjoying the game but I do have a few nitpicks.
For one, why only offer standard E tuning and drop D tuning? There are so many other tunings that bands use. Why not tuning down half a step? Why not blues based tuning? Yeah I know I could tune outside of the game but I'm just sayin'. My other gripe is with the interface. IMO they tried to be a little too clever with it graphically and as a result, it can be very confusing as to which fret and string you're supposed to be on with the angle changes. I think a much simpler, less dynamic interface would actually be more effective in learning the songs. Plus I dont really get the whole color system with the strings. To me instead of color coding the strings it would make more sense to label them EADGBE or simply 123456. And why only display fret numbers 3 5 7 9 12 15 etc? Wouldnt it make more sense to display the fret number(s) you are actually needing at that time during the song? Last edited by Steelmaker; 12-29-2011 at 05:59 PM. |
