Arrow The "Food in Movies, that looks rather good" Thread.

There of course have been movies I have seen that have displayed food that has made me very inquisitive as to how they taste.

Such as
Star Wars
"Blue Milk". Up until the Blu Ray release recently I had no Idea that the Blue Milk had a considerable cult following, any how every time I see this scene I imagine it would taste quite sugary.

link

Ghostbusters
"Twinkies" . Thanks to my thrashing of Ghostbusters in my youth, I have to say I would like to try a Twinkie. we had them here in New Zealand years ago maybe early 90's but they were banned for being unhealthy and subsequently pulled from the shelf.

2010 The Year We Make Contact.

"You know what I miss? I miss green. Trees and grass. I love green."
I'd love a hot dog." "The Astrodome. Good hot dogs." " Astrodome?
You can't grow a good hot dog indoors. Yankee Stadium. September.
Hot dogs have been broiling since the opening day in April. That's a
hot dog." "The yellow mustard or the darker one?" "Darker."
"That's important."

of course I've had hotdogs but these sound interesting .

Twister
I have to say the Steak and Mash meal the team have at Aunt Megs looks mouth watering haha

Feel free to post some inspiration.

Have a great 2012 everyone .

.
You can buy twinkies and a whole lot of other American confectionery at Pak n Sav and some video stores but it's expiry date is only 1 week because of the 3 week delivery so they have it once every couple of months. Twinkies are aight, just a greasy sweet sponge cake, I'm actually surprised they are so popular. Nothing to write home about imo. Aside from that everything else they sell cherry flavoured is rubbish and the cookie dough bite things would be better if they were just cookie dough instead of chocolate coated cookie dough. I would take our confectionery and European confectionery over American Confectionery any day. Except that AW root beer stuff, never tried it till a month ago it is pretty good.

I always like the idea of butter beer in harry potter, looks awesome.

Don't get too far ahead of yourselves guys only one PNS has it in Hamilton and only for a week every two months if that. I've heard lots of video rental stores also have it.

I actually get the feeling the supplier is based in Hamilton (Judging by this trademe listing: http://www.trademe.co.nz/home-living...-435743330.htm) PNS has all the confectionery on their listed offerings.

I've always wanted to go to Dante's Inferno from Dumb and Dumber and Jack Rabbit Slims from Pulp Fiction. Too bad they don't exist.

The Apple Strudel in Inglorious Basterds.

Not just the look of the dessert (which is fantastic), but the sound editing during the scene where they are eating it is in my mind fantastic. It makes my mouth water every time I watch that scene

Cripes mate you sure have a taste for the unusual haha. I suppose if I was forced to consume one item from that banquet it would likely be those Stag/Rhino beetles, over and done with quickly .
