I've been meaning to take my CC number off my son's XBL account, but keep forgetting to. I'll take care of it tonight, for sure.

A couple weeks ago my oldest son (away at school) called me up and asked if I was at home on my youngest son's account because he was seeing his account was online, though not playing any game. As far as I could tell, no one was at home and the Xbox was off. Not sure if my youngest gave his account password to someone or not (he says he didn't), but I made him change his password as soon as he got home from school.

I bet if you are logged in via PC it shows up as online, maybe he was using a computer at school or signed in at home on the PC and just never signed out? Probably not but just a thought.

I thought of that, too, but he's never logged on to his account through a computer from what he says. I know early last year he let a friend log on to his account so the guy could play a game online (he couldn't afford hi own account) to see what it was like. Yes, I chewed him a new one for that! He claims he's changed his logon information since, but who knows?

Mine got hacked last night for three games; World Adventures, Call of Duty 4, and Sims 3, and charged them all to my credit card on file. Of course my credit card won't hold me responsible for the charges.

I was alerted when I recieved three seperate e-mails from billing@microsoft, confirming the purchases. At first I thought the e-mails were just some phishing scam, so I seperately logged into my live account and there they were. I called my CC company who also verified.

I filed a complaint with Xbox and they locked me out of my live account for at least 28 (or 22) days pending an investigation which could last longer (and keep me locked out the entire time). I've heard of people being locked out for months.

Just a bunch of d***less jerks.

For some reason my account won't allow me to remove the CC info on file. I guess it doesn't matter since the info is for a card that expired six months ago....

The investigation is worthless. I've had it done twice and nothing came of it. If you play online a lot, just tell them to skip the investigation. It does nothing but keep you from playing online. They never tell you if they caught the one who hacked your account and it takes forever. Twenty days the first time and 37 the second. Just change your Live password once a month and you will be fine.
