BF3 Deus Ex Human Revolution Fallout New Vegas Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City My job keeps me from having time to play most of these games So if you were to pick from one of these which one would it be? Last edited by MikeCL; 12-24-2011 at 02:09 PM. |

I've only played one of the games you listed (Fallout: New Vegas). I really enjoy the Fallout games since there's a ton of sidequests and things to explore. But Fallout New Vegas (and Fallout 3) are buggy and prone to freezing, so save often.
I would wait though on purchasing New Vegas, only because the "Ultimate Edition" is going to come out next Feb. and includes all the DLC. |

From what I am reading you don't don't have much time to get involved in a long story. Go with Battlefield 3, the campaign is short and you can jump online for a quick match of 30 minutes or less after you have finished the campaign.

it's not so much a long story.. (fallout is long..) I have a few games I've yet to complete since my job has me up early hours so when I get back home I'm sleep for like 5-6 hours. |

For someone who only plays in short bursts of time, definitely Battlefield 3.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is also a fantastic game, but some of the missions do require a lot of time. Can't really recommend FO:NV. It's an outsourced, buggy mess. Less so than when it launched since it has been patched several times, but the Game of the Year edition for FONV is more or less unplayable after extended time investment. GTA4: Liberty City expansion stories are more of an afterthought to GTA4 than anything else. Amusing, but not particularly meaningful without having played through GTA4. |

Out of the list provided, Battlefield 3 is the winner. However, there are also far better games available than anything you listed as well. I recommend the Uncharted series as they have many checkpoints for easy wuickplay sessions. Also, the online is good for qick bursts of gameplay as well. Co-op lasts an average of 25 minutes per game and competitive usually lasts between 10 and 20 minutes max.

I haven'y played it yet but, I'm thinking about getting Saints Row The Third. Like you, I don't have a lot of time to play and I have read that the campaign is relatively short but, still has replay value. It seems to be a comical, over the top, version of GTA. I watched some vids on it and it looks like it could be fun.

Playing Deus Ex right now and enjoying it a lot.
One thing I appreciate a lot coming from someone that doesn't have a lot of time to pour in game either, is the Save anywhere function mixed with auto saves. Means you can drop in and drop out pretty much any time. |

If you're not playing multiplayer, Uncharted 3 is definitely a longer game than Battlefield 3. BF3's multiplayer gives it a lot of legs, though.
