Really?

You want to play that game?

You'll go crazy with the continuity errors in the first season of TOS alone!

PS: What were the continuity errors in the pilot of Enterprise anyway?

I wouldn't mind seeing Enterprise on BD at all. Often, I think it surpassed Voyager. Anyway, I wouldn't dismiss it on the account of one episode. Take another look at:
Future Tense (Season 2), Twilight (Season 3),Shockwave, Part I and II (Seasons 1 and 2), The Expanse (Season 2), The Council (Season 3), Countdown (Season 3), Zero Hour (Season 3), In a Mirror, Darkly, Part I and II (Season 4)

Also, how strange that the simple idea of a much nicer looking version of the show doesn't appeal to you. That's... not gonna be a popular opinion among Blu-Ray enthusiasts. But whateva.

It's obviously a matter of taste, but frankly Gates McFadden buries the both of them.
Deep. (and so do Nana Visitor, Chase Masterson, Terry Farrell and Jolene Blalock btw)

They have also severely limited the commercial potential by not at least offering a 16x9 option on the discs. It simply will not sell at mass retail now. To the average consumer, HD and 16x9 are synonymous. Now, you and I know the difference - but they don't. If Wal-mart even carries these, I can see customers returning it now, "This isn't in HD!" because to them, it won't be. TNG has a huge cross-over appeal, it could easily go beyond "I buy all Trek stuff" fans, but it won't now.

Wow arrogant much? Dude no offense but all this snobbery towards 'walmart" shoppers is getting damn old. Yeah ok a few years ago maybe people had a hard time with 16x9 and hd but not anymore they have been educated. I don't know anyone who returned the original series as not being HD because it was 4x3, people are smart enough to know the difference. And you are kind of wrong on the mass appeal it has, the DVD's certainly did not sell that well and the show did not have massive ratings it was the highest rated Trek but it was low rated compared to a lot of other shows at the time that you know did sell well on DVD.

I am not saying this won't sell it will but let's be honest it will sell to two demogrpahics, fans of Star Trek and fans of just the show in general and maybe pick a few sci fi fans along they way that never seen it before it will not have mass appeal to everybody and their grandma it was not that popular. I might buy it if the price is right but I am not a trekkie trekker or whatever you guys call your selves I am just a guy who likes science fiction who happened to watch this show from time to time.

but that's the best part. those first 10 episodes or so are like a whole different series compared to the rest. and there are inconsistencies between all the series - Enterprise is no worse than any other one. is anything they did as bad as Scotty in Relics/Generations, Khan remembering people who he never met, Data having more and more brothers when he was supposed to the the breakthrough...? cut Enterprise some slack.

good call - the trailer looks sweet. i guess we should be glad - if they looked this good when they originally came out, we would have nothing to look forward to now.

Okay, the trailer. Love it. If they can clean up the very-blurry seasons 1-2 like this then I will be thrilled. It's great to see the details on the creature's tentacles for the first time, although some might disagree. It's of course easier now to tell that the tentacles are actually twine with fuzzy ends.

A tiny detail that is very impressive (to me). On the shots of Gropler against the viewscreen/starfield, you can now see more of his frizzled hair all around his head that were previously keyed out because of the improved keying/compositing technology. We should be seeing huge improvements overall for all shots requiring compositing!

I do agree that Zorn looks a lot better composited. I was surprised at how "yellow" he turned when the slider moved over him.
Yes, puppets.

Shot at ILM using VistaVision.

That greenish/yellow color is probably more accurate to the original source. It was harder to control colors back then when compositing and some of that green/yellow would have been lost during the process.

Agree with his post or not, I don't see anything that insults Wal-mart. He said that Wal-mart will have to deal with a bunch of confused and upset people. Presumably because that's where a butt load of these will be sold...

A little sensitive about your job?

Finally I will be able to watch these without Pal speed up. Drives me crazy and I am dumbfounded how the whole of Pal Land has put up with it for so long.

Day 1 purchase for me whether its widescreen or not. I just want Picard, Worf and Data in HD!

While it may be "wrong", to the vast majority of consumers (those ones the industry keeps begging to join the Blu-ray squad), HD and 16x9 are interchangeable (if they know what 16x9 is). Blu-ray is HD, and HD fills the screen. You know, and I know, we all know that technically this is wrong; however, from what they have available to them (mostly theatrical films and current TV shows), the evidence they have certainly supports their claim.

couldn't be more wrong. theatrical films have BLACK BARS nobody notices or complains so now you can shut up.

How many people returned their Star Wars, Harry Potter, or Pirates movies because they did not fill up the entire screen? Nobody expects everything to fill up the entire screen people are used to bars either on top and bottom or left and right people have adjusted.

Wow, I hate my dsylexia...
ok, i apologize.
I read it as the Wal*Mart employees would be the one complaining.
