United Kingdom Planetaxel Deliveries

Is anybody else waiting for discs from Planetaxel and not yet received them?

My order for the US BD of 'Ides of March' was supposedly shipped last wednesday and has still not arrived. Deliveries have gradually taken longer and longer since they introduced their 'Handling Fee'. I know from time to time these things can happen but am beginning to get fed up with them and this is probably my final order with them.

I have not bought anything from them since the new fees.
I doubt I ever will even though they gave me $6 credit.

Yesterday I received some Criterion Blu-Rays that shipped on the 4th. Perfectly reasonable waiting time if you ask me.

I dont think a week is a particularly long time. Things can be held up for a number of reasons, but i wouldn't get upset about it already

No I understand but comparing their speed of delivery to what it was up to a few months back - its not good, if I pay more for a service I expect to at least receive the same standard if they charge more for it!

I've used them a couple of times since they introduced their new fees and it's probably the same speed, a little over a week, but they have priced themselves out of my market now - it's often cheaper to just import with Amazon and pay the more expensive shipping option to guarantee no additional taxes.

It's a shame as their customer service is excellent.

Varies, sometimes a little under a week though. Generally a bit longer.

They gave me $6 credit to. I bought one of the cheapest Blu Rays they had listed and i still had to like £3 on top. So expensive now with all these customs charges. However i ordered during the Christmas period and it arrived like a week later i was shocked to be honest.

Axelmusic really screwed up with this new handling fee thing! Now i have to order at least 5 items in order for it even out, plus their stuff is pretty expensive to begin with.

I can't use Amazon.com because the limit for imported goods in Denmark is around £9 and the total nearly always exceeds that

I still use PlanetAxel as they are still one of the best companies at getting titles sent out early, most times 2 weeks before release so paying extra compared to Amazon.com is to be expected as they wont ship until release.

Their increased postage prices do make buying any individual titles very expensive so I just have a look through the pre-orders and find 4 or 5 titles then place an order.

Back to the original question though, some of my orders have arrived within 3 days but most have taken 7 which I don't think is too bad but it doesn't compare to Amazon.de which sent my order of 3 BDs last Tuesday and they arrived Thursday.

My copy of The Rocketeer showed up in timely fashion, even with the Chrimbo holidays. Only used them, as they credited my account with some discount, to try and woo me back.

got the $7 credit as well

as sad as it is, Axel really did screw up with their shipping prices. despite the outstanding customer service, there is no such thing as a bargain there anymore after you've added £5-ish on top for postage

i know it works out better with multiple purchases but in this climate, i have a budget to stick to.

My Thor arrived a month later. And also they throw away slips. I don't really care about them, but I feel like that they should include it, because some people do care about them. So stick with Amazon.us

Not true. I have had slips from them on a number of items, but it is luck of the draw, as with any online retailer

If you really want a slip, then use bluraysforeveryone

Oh ok. Well I assumed that because whenever I order from Amazon, I do get a slip for new releases. But whenever I order from planetaxel, I don't. I guess it was just a coincidince then.
