Wow...Really? That's really why you're putting off watching it? Benedict Cumberbatch is one of the finest working actors right now, and is just incredible in everything he's in. It shouldn't matter what he looks like as long as his performance is good. You should really reconsider.

He reminds me of that thing from The Goonies. Im not the best looking either and i never judge people on anything but his face is too distracting. I also dont like seeing large people serve me at food outlets. (im coming off as very shallow but im not. I cant stand pretty people and people who live their lives thinking it's the be all, end all. Stuff is hard to explain through text).

I could but i come from New Zealand. Our shows we screen are shit and we never get anything good. If we do then it's always on way too late or doesn't stay around too long.

Moffatt tweeted that there were two tributes "to the past" in the final episode, does anyone know what they were?

One of them might have been the tune Sherlock was playing when Moriarty visited him, I think it was the music used in the ITV series in the Reichenbach Falls episode.

No idea what the other might have been though.

Fascinated to see how the hell the ending can possibly be explained I seen him fall and die. Watson saw him bleeding and took his pulse yet he's alive? Eh! Nevermind Sherlock Holmes only Jonothan Creek could solve a mystery like that

Sherlock Gets a Third Season

With the second series of Sherlock concluding in dramatic fashion in the UK over the weekend - with the finale attracting nearly 8m viewers - it's no surprise that the BBC show will be returning for a third season.

Writing on Twitter, series creator Steven Moffat said "Of course there's going to be a third series - it was commissioned at the same time as the second. Gotcha!"

And his co-creator Mark Gatiss Tweeted much the same sentiment, writing "Gotcha! And of course there'll be a third series."

However, it's not clear when that series will shoot, with Sherlock Holmes actor Benedict Cumberbatch working on Star Trek 2 this summer, and his co-star Martin Freeman busy with The Hobbit.
