I can understand that they probably can't justify a solo release for a lot of these sequels like they can with BaTB, Bambi, and TLK, but I don't see why they can't have a solo release of the original films, and then also have a 2-movie collection for those who want the sequels as well (I mean, who would buy the sequels without buying the originals anyway?).

I really hope we get that solo release in the U.S. And it would be nice if they backtracked and gave FaTH a solo release as well, though I'm not really hoping for anything at this point.

No. Not at all. I like the single package for Pocahontas. It's simple and elegant. It's basically the Gold Collection DVD art repurposed, but hey.

I was excited when I THOUGHT I could finally get Pocahontas. I loved it when I saw it during the summer, although I hated as a child. However, Disney is releasing it with its sequel so that's a broken dream. I can not bring myself to endorse this packaging. The cover art is atrocious, also. I mean, look at that thing! Unless Disney releases a separate release for this classic, I won't buy it.

I've tried contacting Disney, on another note. DOUBT they even read it. A guy can try right?

I just want the original by itself dammit. Disney throwing in these DTV craps just boggles my mind.

Like we had to suck it up with Fox and the Hound and Fox and the Hound II

Well they'll usually reply to it, now reading it is another thing haha they seem to skim a lot.

I'm VERY excited to finally be getting Pocahontas on Blu-ray, but am disgusted that it will be packaged with the abysmal cheapquel. Too add insult to injury, the BD cover is pretty bad. John Smith isn't even featured and this is a love story! Oh well. At least I can rely on talented Disney fans to eventually come up with an alternative cover.

Looking forward to seeing this gorgeous film in full 1080p!
