TrollHunter - Blu-ray in January/2012

I've just watched this and I really enjoyed it. I'd heard about this when it came out in the cinema but had not seen it, so it was a must pre-order. Just seeing what the English dub is like and I can confirm it is awful. The subtitled words are better than what is being said in the dub. I know everyone on here will watch it in Norwegian first. The people who are doing the dubbing are really bad and it sounds like a room full of bad actors. I know generally dubs are useless, but they can be good if done right

They also have used the F word in the dub during the first few minutes and it was not necessary. There are also some decent extras, not extensive, but good enough for a foreign language film

My copy arrived today and I watched it tonight, and its pretty good. Id read mixed reviwes but I thought it was an enjoyable fun film, I always watch my non English titles with the native language and English subs, so following the film and a scoot thru the extras I had a quick listen to the dubbed audio track....its awful....like it was done by a bored Sunday school amateur dramatics society, unintentionally hilarious

is it as bad as the Ichi The Killer english dub that sounded like a bunch of Dutch people speaking English for the first time.

Yes. Was very bad. I only checked to see what they were like for a laugh, and a laugh I got.

The film on the other hand is hilarious. Very enjoyable. Loved it.

[Show spoiler]Hans seemed to walk off into the sun rise. The government didn't need to get rid of him like the camera team (They need him if anything). I'm guessing he is still hunting trolls in the Norweigen woodlands

He actually uses the F word in Norwegian, my fiancee is Norwegian and confirmed it. We were just watching the first few minutes with the dub and laughing our heads off. So bad.

I quite liked that but it shot its load far too early.

Also, I couldn't help but think of:




And that dumbed dubbed track is one of the worst I've ever heard/seen.

Definitely worth a look though if you like monster movies. And it's got a nice lenticular slipcover too.
