No kidding. Look at the aggregate chart by title:

Lionsgate: 4
Disney: 3
Warner: 3 (inc. BBC)

I am sure that Universal and Paramount are keeping a close eye on the results. The margin of sales between Blu-ray and HD DVD can't be ignored, and sales of Planet Earth are a great indicator. I am sure that blu-ray must be getting close on surpassing HD DVD in Total sales for PE.

The simple fact is BD dominated both Hi-Def Sellers charts. If not for the fact that 300, Blader Runner and Planet Earth exist on HD DVD, it would've been very clear to even the ignorant of ignorants that BD rules. The HD DVD versions of those title are just not worth going into.

I assume at least that when the stocks for 300 and Blader Runner HD DVD run out, they'll be OOP. Then they'll disappear from the charts.

Two of the top five HD DVDs are WB. The numbers are going to be even worse for HD DVD when there are no more WB HD DVD titles to buy.

wow. yet another week of ass-whuppery.

seriously, one would have hoped that toshiba would have learned by now that appealing to 1) the nutjobs who want to own 6 HD DVD players and 2) the el cheapos who want to buy the cheapest thing out there isn't going to save HD DVD.

A few months ago, it was argued that Planet Earth was one of the obvious choices for first title to buy when you got a player. So it is a good indicator of 'new users.'

I know Warner Bros and Disney are doing very well and outstanding results,But Lionsgate alone is blowing Away Paramount and Dreamworks,For Universal i guess it is already falling in a big trap

The 2 weeks to watch are 2/19 and 2/26. If the Blu's share those weeks are 75+ then HD DVD is dead, as dead as a doornail. Stick a fork in it, it's done. Dead and buried.

I say 83:17 for next week

There really is no light at the end of the tunnel. I mean when American Gangster(which sits at like 150 on amazon) is released, HD DVD might get back into the 20's. You know what April and May are going to show. Look at some of the movies that they we are getting. I love that I picked the winning side. Invested money is a superior format that I enjoy almost daily.

I just read that and I agree with you. I hope more retailers follow his lead.
