Frankly I'm just going to prepare to commit to buying this film multiple times. I've done it before. Truly though I'm not too upset about the lack of extras (apparently on the UK steel there's only one, though it appears to trounce the entirety of the US releases'); unless it's deleted scenes and/or a director commentary, most extras are pretty mundane anyway, particularly for new releases. The exception are of course releases on the order of a Criterion/Moc/etc., and major studio catalog (read: anniversary) releases.

I've already got two versions on the way. I'd triple and quadruple dip this film without a second thought.

It's a real annoyance too turn on my Xbox 360 and see advertisement like "watch Drive today." I haven't seen the movie since the first weekend of its wide release and I really want to watch it again.

im all about the dips too! i've got all the versions on the way except the denmark/finnish version. im trying to do everything to mask how bad the us cover is. in spirit of 80's-ness in regards to that cover..."gag me with a spoon." ha

That's BS. iTunes got it 2 weeks early, and that really pissed me off. It should be released on Blu-ray first. There is more profit to be made in physical media...they should be pandering to us.

I've been hearing great things about this film. I'm going to hold off until the release on the 31st to get it on blu-ray. So pumped! Also just like everyone else no thrilled about the cover.

Me, too. DRIVE is gonna be my second blind buy.
If for some strange reason it's not good.. if for any reason the same thing happens with DRIVE as did with Tree of Life, I'll simply unsubscribe to this thread. Otherwise, I'd end up being mean to people in here for talking it up so much as was done with that abortion of a screen saver... I mean Tree of Life.

YMMV... but I can see how one would not like the Tree of Life, while if you don't like this I will definitely judge you for life.

My expectations were raised too much after looking at the 5/5 for film. Good movie with awesome audio on car scenes. Lost all momentum after 3/4 though, and the end of the film was booring Imo.

Music in the film was also fantastic btw.

Oh, and Carey Mulligan is always wort a good 1 1/2 - 2 hrs

This is my exact thoughts after watching this last night, are you me? Good not great, lost a lot of momentum. Fantastic soundtrack.

On Carey Mulligan, I said to my wife "If that girl isn't Katie Holmes then she's the new Katie Holmes". Too adorable to hate.
