USA Would you buy a blu-ray if it also had the soundtrack to the movie?

Instead of getting a digital copy, would you prefer to buy a movie if it also contained the movie audio soundtrack?

Assuming that it's the same price as what we have now with the digital copies, I would have a lot more use for the soundtrack than the digital copy. Not that that would take much as I've never even removed a digital copy from its case.

That would be a nicel addition for certain movies, but you do know that 's not why the Studios give you a digital copy right? It's not to give the consumer a value-addition.

I would take the soundtrack over the DC every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Epic idea.

I completely agree. Actually, to my memory, I've NEVER used a digital copy! It would be great if we could get the soundtrack in a high-res format, like 24/96 WAV or something.

I'd go for this, but getting the record labels and the movie studios to agree to a single SKU would probably never happen on a large level.

I'd tend to agree with most others as I'd rather have a soundtrack than a digital copy. provided it was the same price.

I remember back in the day when the Animatrix came out on DVD, it had the soundtrack CD as a bonus disc. I haven't heard anything like that with BDs though.

Yeah—rights issues would prevent this from happening often, I'd say.

I don't care for movie scores a lot of times, but thankfully I've scored quite a few DVDs that contain soundtracks of music I actually wanna listen to. Suspiria, (Terror at the) Opera, Electric Dragon 80000V... OK, that's not many, but it makes me really happy to have 'em.

This is a terrific idea. I'd love THAT to be a second disc. In fact, I was delighted when I bought my copy of Close Encounters 2 years ago and it had a copy of the soundtrack in a little disc sleeve taped to the back. Did anyone else get this?

I actually have owned most John Williams scores in various formats over the years, but this was a complete surprise and this was a score that I think had ended up with the Ghost of a Girlfriend Past, so it was nice to have it again.

I definitely would prefer a separate disc to an isolated score track.

That would be awesome. I don't see it ever happening for soundtracks, but scores possibly and that'd be cool, I'd be into that. I don't buy a lot of scores by themselves, but I would make the effort to get a copy of a movie I liked with a copy of the score if I really liked it. Like Batman and whenever Punch-Drunk Love comes out.

But I also like combo packs so I'd have no problem at all if it was a (3D/)BD/DVD/DC/ST...I can feel the already

Ditto.

Give me a CD soundtrack. Will I get use out of it? Maybe, if i like the soundtrack.

The DVD or digital copy discs are waste of space to me ALWAYS.
