Thanks! I do like the art on the Canadian edition. ("Sang-froid"? Odd translation...then again, Valhalla Rising was called "Le Guerrier Silencieux.")

Really like all the creative takes on this cover.

Awesome work! I know it's a rough draft but just a few comments at first glance:

Period missing at end of Pete Hammond quote.

Travers quote errors -
Period, not exclamation point after Brilliant.
"coming" and "wild" are missing from "fumes coming off this wild thing."

"Perlman" is misspelled in the synopsis.

"realizes" and "gangsters" are misspelled in the synopsis.

Okay, I know I talked tough about wanting the cover to be spoiler free, but then I came across Martin Ansin's beautiful poster for the movie, and decided I could live with it after all.

So I made an alternate version:

Thanks for pointing that stuff out, I did it very late at night and wasn't concentrating enough. Although 'realises' is not a mistake, that's just a difference between our countries

Is your D logo in the upper right corner of the front permanent or a proof watermark? If the former, it sticks out like a sore thumb and doesn't add to the otherwise awesome design.

I know his designs are purely for himself, but that doesn't mean we can't help improve them, and I'm tellin ya, that D is a no-goer

Since the movie was set in the 1930s I want to do something reminiscent of the art deco look of Nissen's "Rocketeer" covers.

I have the stills imagery I need so I could put together one of my standard custom covers but I really want to try something different.

Can anyone suggest a resource?

no resources from me but a comment on the fact that your wish list titles seem to appear after you have made custom covers....but the lassiter WIP is lookin' great!

Oh I highly doubt that "Lassiter" will ever get a Blu-ray release, I am doing the cover just because the movie is a favorite of mine.

Lauren Hutton, Bob Hoskins and Jane Seymour in a movie where a cat burglar is coerced into stealing diamonds from the Nazi's -- purely ridiculous but fun movie.
