No. I don't think there's any need. Studios will make the decisions themselves based on common business sense. Just watch and wait. They'll come around eventually.

It doesn't really matter. Best Buy released the Blu-ray of Blade Runner like a week before the DVD and HD-DVD. These retailers, given that the audience for high-def is still so small, are doing what they think is best to actually sell units. Retailers know that sitting on HD-DVD titles for three weeks means they aren't going to sell many. But it really doesn't matter. After May, there will be no more Warner HD-DVDs. So it really makes little difference whether there's a three week delay or not.

I agree, it doesnt really matter, but I still like to see Warner enforce this to prevent uninformed people from buying the HD-DVD version thinking that its actually a viable format at this point.

Im trying not to read anything into it but the sudden re-supply of Paramont titles at amazon and other places, If they are still under contract, how can they start feeding the supply chain again?

On the issue of getting the studios to make lossless audio standard on every release, can you offer any advice on how to contact the studios and maybe who? I tried to get some contact info for Lionsgate a while back to send a polite complaint/suggestion but it was really hard to track down an address for anything other than investor relations. I'd happily fire off a polite letter or two if I knew where to send them. Sorry if this is common knowledge, I'm probably just looking in the wrong places.

It could be, but it doesn't matter. Any great news is welcomed IMO. And Bill, you don't have to give hints or anything else...just hope its big enough news to get HD DVD fanboys crapping in their pants.

But again, if it isn't that BIG, it's still welcomed.
