US steelbooks only come around in October and November when Disney tries to take advantage of post-Black-Friday shoppers.

I've heard that Disney's Cinderella is gonna be out in October part of the Disney line up this year
It's just a rumor though.. nothing confirmed.

Why is it that we can't get any sweet Steelbooks, as they do in over seas, well at least not as often. Have to import the good ones

lady and the tramp and dumbo did not get the metal case treatment, ah well.

But I would say the next US movie steelbook woulb be Flicker Alley's A trip to the Moon (https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...highlight=moon) which is a US G2 steelbook

As far as video games are concerned resident evil operation racoon city is getting a steelbook (have heard differing rumors as to size, some say strictly G1 others say based on whether you choose PS3 or XBox). I have also heard this may be NA exclusive but please do not quote me on that. This you can quote me on, if you buy through capcom direct you get an exclusive item (metal license plate) in either edition and on either platform, to get the steelbook you still need to buy the special edition while supplies last.

But, since Futureshop and Best Buy are the same company, Disney has almost always offered their steelbooks up to the U.S. as well.

Any news on when this will be available? Aren't they usually done before the release?

I meant the last twilight movie, whatever it's called, as a joke.

Default LADY AND THE TRAMP Future Shop Metal Box

Yes, and no. Sometimes they are released with the release date of the movie, but not in this case.

There were dates announced for LATT from Future Shop, but they have since been removed. However, it is still scheduled to release along with TANGLED, JOHN CARTER, CINDERELLA, THE AVENGERS, and others.

First up is THE MUPPETS, followed by JOHN CARTER, and then I think it's LADY AND THE TRAMP.

That just figures. I signed up for a group buy from canada for the Muppets because I didn't think we were getting it and I can't cancel out of it. It would have been much less expensive for me to get here.

Don't be upset yet, it could just be some other sort of exclusive that best buy has and not a SB.

Does anyone know who at Best Buy we could write and/or email about continuing the Disney Steelbooks? I know they stopped because of the lawsuit the Steelbook people won. But obviously, Disney has continued issuing Steelbooks overseas. So, I'd imagine if Best Buy joined in on a run of Steelbooks with these other companies issuing them in other countries, they could save a little money. And, heck, it would guarantee they'd see my business with those Disney Blu Rays, like it did before.

That's because overseas they are using Scanaval's steelbook. I'm surprised Disney US hasn't started using Metalpaks as Best Buy exclusives. I can't be certain, but I'd have to think we won't see a US Disney steelbook for a very long time, if ever...as I'm sure they were just a tad ticked about being taken to court and losing, despite making slight modifications to their Viva cases. As a result, US citizens have to import their Disney steels.
