I'm only interested in City of Angels so I'll wait for it come down to around £10 which with this release will be in no time at all, Not intrested in Salvation it's horrible and has the ever dreadful Kirsten Dunst in it.
![]() Have they mentioned any extra's on this? or is it barebones? |

if anything the extras will get ported from the previous dvds, which is just a few short featurettes on Salvation. To be honest i reckon it'll be barebones.
Urm, my UK DVD of Salvation was 16:9 anamorphic, and im pretty sure it wasn't zoomed from a 4:3 :/ UPDATE: The Crow: City of Angels Behind the scenes featurette The Crow: Salvation Production Design featurette source Last edited by cris555; 02-11-2012 at 08:48 PM. |

I have these sat on my desk, here at work.
Pics and impressions to follow later this evening. *edit* Just looking at the discs themselves, they both appear to be BD-50s. City of Angels is listed as 91 mins, Salvation 102. Both are 1.85:1 with DTS-HD-MA 5.1 audio. Last edited by Sky_Captain; 02-20-2012 at 01:10 PM. |

Okay, so I've watched most of City of Angels and flicked through Salvation.
City of Angels looks good to me. There some very minor sharpening going on and I mean incredibly minor. The film has a weird hazy look and I never felt anything looked over-sharpened. No DNR, nice healthy grain structure. DTS-HD-MA 5.1 English and German, with an English PCM track as well. English subs and two German sub tracks. You're asked to chose English or German upon disc bootup. Two featurettes, neither of which I've checked out. Onto Salvation... It still looks like a TV movie, I don't give a shit what anyone says. The whole thing screams Movie of The Week. This is a very dated master, with a fair smattering of EE applied. It's still watchable, though, if only because it still has grain, or at least the illusion of grain present. English is the only language option, both in DTS-HA-MA 5.1 and LPCM 2.0. HoH English subs also included. Extras are a single featurette. Also has one of the worst looking menus I've seen, in a very long time. Both movies are encoded in AVC and region locked to B. City of Angels runs 01:30:44 Salvation runs 01:41:54 Pics of the set: [Show spoiler]

Sorry to resurrect such an old topic but I was wondering if anyone knew if this was Region A compatible?
Edit: After further investigation it appears that it is indeed locked to Region B :/ At least now it's stated in the official thread. Last edited by WhySoCereal; 01-08-2014 at 09:49 PM. |

Why is City of Angels so hard to find on Blu-ray? I find it wild that they've re-released Salvation to coincide with the 4K of The Crow (and perhaps the theatrical release of the 2024 movie) but haven't done anything with City of Angels.

I don't know the reason but it should be because they're finally working on a DC of the film.

Who owns the rights to the film these days? Really wish a smaller distributer could arrange a DC. There is a good film in there, just not as is
