Oh, yeah! I'm going have to check him out, because my friend and I talked to him for a few minutes and he's going to setup his website where you can buy prints, too. I was mad when I got home I didn't buy his Game of Thrones one!

Obviously it's not meant to be a cut-and-dried "oh that's obvious" conclusion because a lot of people had to come to the initial conclusion that you and I did. Enough that Refn had to speak out on it on the interwebs.

Part of what I loved about it so much was that it seemed so entirely open-ended to me, that it could have just as easily gone either way, so to have that just dismissed and kind of laughed at is a bit insulting. It's like "have you seen a movie before?"

I wish Refn didn't confirm it one way or the other and left it up to us to debate.
What I'd like to know is, at what point did Refn say that The Driver lives on for more adventures?

Did he say this after the critical praise and public success of the movie? If that were the case, perhaps he said that because that's what he knows the fans of the Driver/Gosling want to hear? They dont want their beloved Driver to be dead?
"How dare you kill Gosling's character!"

Did he say it after there were talks of sequel in the air, which equals money?
"Hey, I can make a successful franchise here. I better keep him alive"

I was thinking the same thing! The Game of Thrones one was awesome. I was kicking myself later that I didn't buy it.

That's the name of the second novel by James Sallis.

Drive with a Vengeance seems most appropriate. Or Drive: the Mafia Strikes Back.

FINALLY...after waiting over a month for it to ship/arrive...I got this:

Your item is out for delivery at 8:20 am on February 23, 2012

My jacket is finally almost here! Now when I will ever wear this...remains to be known But I just had to have it...so hopefully it looks cool and I can wear it when I'm alone and pretend I'm a bad ass

If I saw somebody wearing that jacket I'd probably lol. It took me a little bit to think it wasn't kinda lame in the movie. Some things are meant to stay in the movies

I was finally able to watch this movie again after seeing it at a screening weeks prior to its theatrical release. Needless to say it had been a while, and I actually liked it a little bit more this time around. Wow this movie is unique. Feels like a dark fairy tale, if that makes sense.

I just finally got around to watching this movie and all I can say I wow.

I know people are quick to mention movies like A Serbian Film or The Human Centipede movies when they talk about disturbing movies but I felt this movie was by far the most disturbing, sick, unnerving movie I've seen in a very long time. The former movies I mentioned lack this disturbing quality because the violence is so cartoonish.... But drive is a visceral punch to the gut.

That being said, what a great movie it's definitely one that will stick with you long after you're done watching it.

[Show spoiler]And I wasn't aware Albert Brooks could be so frightening
forget about Christopher Plummber, give this award to Albert Brooks! Oh wait, he's not even nominated! Never mind
