Van Halen 08 Tour BD? - Blu-ray Forum

I went to one of Van Halen's shows in Dallas, one of their 08 Tour shows. Now, are they going to make a BD for this tour? I believe if they were to make one, they would choose this concert, the main reason being that it was Eddie's birthday, and everyone in the crowd sung Happy Birthday to him, which makes it their most unique show. I hope they come out with it sometime.

I just bought tickets about 15 minutes ago, to see them this coming Tuesday in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Overall, how was the show?

Their show was amazing! They played every single hit they have (with the exception of the Hagar songs).

For the entertainment value it was good, but musically it's not their best. Dave was sometimes drowned out by the music, Wolfie was good, and Eddie was Eddie.

I travelled to the USA last November to see the Mighty Van Halen in New Jersey. They were mostly great until Eddie threw a tantrum over his monitor (which resulted in him flinging said monitor off the stage) and it went downhill from there.

By all accounts the Madison Square Garden show a few days later, which I couldn't get tickets for, was supposed to be stellar. I've heard no reports of the tour being filmed for any kind of official release, but we can live in hope.
