I know what you speak of and there is a cure depending on your receiver and tv. I have NO idea how to correct it though but it is possible.
I have Verizon Fios and an older Panny 50" plasma with HDMI hooked up and when watching HD broadcast the menu is nice and tight but when switching to standard digital broadcast and turning on the menu it looked like stretched hell. My brother visited me during the holidays and messed with the hidden settings within the box and the tv. Showed me what he did once and I since forgot. Now it doesn't matter if I am switching from standard to high def the menu always looks nice and clean as if I am browsing within 1080i. |
