I'm a massive fan of the show, so i've managed to get the limited Stark cover set. I don't often go for the limited editions but this was too good to pass up. I've also got the regular US version on it's way too

Both are head and shoulders above the local version.

So this video -
- confirms that the UK packaging is the same as the US. Good news indeed!

Mine shipped last night, fingers crossed that it'll be here by Friday maybe :P

Don't get your hopes up. It'll most likely be in a standard amaray case.

yer this is true. A shame really, we used to get HBO releases like the US but now they are just cheaping it out. It all started early last year transitioning to amaray cases instead of digipaks.
im going to contact someone about that, see if i can change their mind around or find out about future releases.

It is the standard amray case It's pretty much the same size and shape as Boardwalk Empire.

I feel a little cheated as even the UK set is identical to the US one. Still, it won't take up too much space on my shelf (of which i've filled)!

I'm going to take mine back to JB today as i didn't get the photobook

Also, The Simpsons did a GOT parody for their opening titles - it's quality!

thats not true, other than the original release of True Blood season 1 we have never got the same packaging for HBO titles that Warner release over here. the only other ones are Band of Brothers (i think, mine was an import from Amazon) and the pacific (slightly thinner than BOB tin, but has the JB picture book.)

all other HBO titles over here are just standard packs, like True blood S2-. Bored to death, hung, How to make in in america, Treme, Entourage, Rome (2 standard Amaray in a slip)
