Yes, but that won't happen for the metal slip. There was never a remastered version in metal slip form. The case inside is the original release and features the 2009 art. Only the disc would be different if the owner had gone through the exchange program. From what I've seen the releases are as following:

Metal Slip: Original release
Slipcover: Original release
Slipcover with Pocket-Blu logo: Remastered release
Double pack with Robin Hood: Remastered release

ahhh, true. Hmmm, i wonder if my copy is remastered or not. dont recall any issues with it but still cant remember...should of gone through the exchange program to be safe. oh well, im going to buy the slipcover version again anyway just for the slip

I think somewhere way back in the exchange thread, it was mentioned that if you play the movie, the title screen was different in the remastered version than in the original release.

Just read through this whole thread. Still considering what versions of Gladiator I want. I like the metal slip idea, but if that is completely impossible to get my hands on at this point, is the one with the embossed cardboard slip still available? I have tried searching for it but only came up with this link. It says "slipcase packaging".

Does anyone know exactly which version I would receive if I ordered from this link?

You should get a slipcovered release with the remastered version if you buy using that link.
