If you compare it to Avatar, Hugo and some other animations, no! But titans? good enough.

Check out this trailer of Immortals. Freakin' awesome!

I don't remember seeing this particular trailer for the movie at the theaters, which I love. Makes me want to see the movie again soon. Can't wait to pick up the 3D Blu tomorrow along with Game of Thrones!

Is this worthy of a blind buy in 3D since it's only $23? I'm a fan of 300 and have a 3D tv but no 3D titles yet since I'm cheap , should I pull the trigger?

I'd say script wise it's most like Conan the barbarian 2011 with the focus mostly on action (although not quite as much action) and the style is most like 300.

Everyone I know thats seen it, loved it. I'm never impressed with audio in the theater but I was when I watched Immortals. So I can't wait to hear this blu ray. I'm picking it up tomorrow for sure!
thanks for your reply. Yeah I wasn't expecting the script to be anywhere near Braveheart, Gladiator, or LOTR but I imagined it would be closer to Conan 2011 which I liked even though the acting was pretty bad.

Cheapest 3D new release I can recall off memory. It's the same price as
the 2D stand alone version so you are not losing any money. The 3D comes with the 2D if you don't like what you see...

True, that's exactly what I was thinking. I just needed someone to give me a little nudge

I actually strongly disagree with that. In my opinion, even the actions scenes were garbage. I felt nothing watching them. I was bored with them. The final battle was very uninspired and felt like it was pulled out of another action movie.

I noticed that the regular blu is priced at 22.99 and the 3d version, which also comes with the regular blu is priced at 22.99?

Shouldnt i just buy the 3d version anyway, instead of the regualer version?

I mean i dont own a 3d tv or even a 3d blu ray player and honestly prolly never will because i hate 3d, but for the same price why not?

Yeah, then sell the 3D copy and earn some of your money back. That's what finally pushed me to buy this.

I like Luke Evans, so I'll probably go pick it up this evening.

That said, I couldn't really take Mickey Rouke & Stephen Dorff seriously in this. They just seemed out of place to me.

I couldn't tell if you were being serious or just trolling. The acting is by no means good. But to say they hired out of work porn actors when most of the actors are recognizable is an interested critique.
And also, if there is one thing that is impressive with the film, it is the cgi. Tarsem Singh's films are always beautiful to look at and this film is no different.

I definitely think this movie is worth a rental, but probably doesn't warrant a blind buy.

Meh, the 2.5 review will not dissuade me from picking this up. Ive been buying 3D blurays up lately and for $22.99 (same as the regular Blu) I've no reason to NOT pick the 3D version up since its packaged with the 2D version. I've yet to see this but I dig the style...seems like it will be a very "pretty" movie to look at/watch and listen to.

Looking forward to watching it tonight.

I don't own a 3D tv yet but inthe future I hope to have one. The movie was decent and for the same price as the reg version why no?!?! I sill get the 2D disc with it not to mention the slip(which I probably won't keep) and case artwork is better. I will pick this up on my way to school later.

I don't get why they always include the 2D version with the 3D.I can watch my 3D version in 2D.
