Of course they never found a good poster design for the botched theatrical release. This was the American poster, which was too vague, looking like a teaser: (I love how they photoshopped in the Empire State Building and World Trade Center, which would not be visible in this view, and then as the finishing touch, they even stuck the STATUE OF LIBERTY in, Where's Waldo-style, peering around the base of the WTC.) ![]() This was the "fun with Photoshop" overseas poster, with equally fantastical skylines, which was also used on the first DVD: ![]() There was also a teaser poster showing the Statue of Liberty, with barbed wire coiled at its feet. I can't find any photos of that one online. Still, they never found an iconic image for the film. Heck, they couldn't even settle on a title. It was Martial Law, then Against All Enemies, then finally the supremely bland The Siege. Last edited by James Luckard; 03-07-2012 at 10:19 PM. |

This wasn't such a bad movie but it does take too much time in establishing the plot. The opening of the film didn't explain anything and it was confusing choice for the director to produce this film like he did. There was no setup and you're left wondering what the opening of the movie had to do with the whole film and that's not even explained, even when the movie ends.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
I have ordered the "Siege" Hong Kong Blu-ray from both Yesasia and DDD House, and they both have sent me a 25GB Japanese Blu-ray distributed in Hong Kong with no special features (catalog number BDF 00173) instead of the 50GB Hong Kong release that is described in their listings. I already sent the Yesasia one back (what a hassle that was to get a credit back on my account) and now the package from DDD House just arrived and it's the exact same version again. I am dreading having to go through this whole process another time. Perhaps the original Hong Kong edition is out of print already? Does anyone know a more knowledgeable website that sells Hong Kong Blu-rays where I can get some confirmation BEFORE I order that it would in fact be the right 50GB edition? Or, where I can purchase the Brazil edition instead, which is supposed to be the same version from what I've read here. |

If you are region free, just buy the UK version instead: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-Siege-Blu-ray/6788/
It's the same edition and i think it's cheap at Amazon.uk. |
