Hey Folks...it's been a long time since I ordered anything from Deep Discount. Do they send you an email when they've shipped your order?

Yes, you should get a confirmation mail when the order is placed and another mail when it ships.

Thanks Bud! I got the order confirmation about 15 minutes after I ordered it this afternoon...haven't got the shipping email yet. Hopefully they'll ship it by tomorrow sometime.

For those of you who already received 'The Last Temptation of Christ', when did you put your order in? I've never pre-ordered until now, and I'm just trying to get an idea as to when I should do so in the future in order to (hopefully) receive my next Blu-ray early.

Gospel According To St Matthew was hard going for me. I kept praying he wouldn't get resurrected.

I saw Le Havre there in November. I was disappointed by the small screen but otherwise it was a decent experience. The girl I was with did not like the film... At all! Which is O.K. I didn't like her much either.

Last Temptation
The Gospel of Matthew
Passion of the Christ (I own this but have never seen it)

Just waiting for Gospel of Mathew to come from Eureka!
I've heard that. I've been hesitant about viewing it because my previous attempts at watching Vonnegut adaptations have been less than stellar.

I'm going to post this on both the Criterion and Masters of Cinema threads:

For those that live in or near Los Angeles, there's going to be an animation presentation and one of the films to be featured is La planete sauvage (Fantastic Planet):

MOC tweeted about a real good article on the virtues of How Green was My Valley this AM, here's the article.

Turns out this is the same site that published the Ozu book RKish rec'd as well as the recent article about the problems of digitization/preservation. I'm thinking this site is gonna get bookmarked.

David Bordwell is one of the foremost film critics/writers in the world. His History/Overview of Cinema textbooks with Kristin Thompson are practically requisite of any Intro to Film collegiate course; more than one for me in my student days.

Anyone's order from the Criterion sale ship out on Tuesday 3/6 via priority mail? The delivery confirmation I got from Criterion, says to expect the order within 4-7 days. Isn't priority mail, 2-3?? This is my first order ever from Criterion.
