The studio didn't want that as they can get more people in the cinema with a 15 certificate and so chose to cut the film. It's got nothing to do with censorship and everything to do with making money.

But why didn't they have any problem with an R rating in other countries though??? THAT is what confuses me. Had they cut it in North America they could have also gotten way more posteriors in theatre seats. And yet, the R rating was fine here. Why do it there when they could have just as easily done it here for the same reasons.
