Yeah, Vince from Totem is a little strange looking. But then all CADs are a bit strange. LOL.
Sounds like a plan. Did I read the boss isn't too thrilled with it's appearance? You and Aces will have to write a book on schmoozing over the Mrs while bringing in unapproved components. You may want to condense the title though.

we will call the book, "WAF, What you need to know!"

She liked the look of it the least, but what she really doesn't like is the expense. I think what she rather have is 3 $500 purchases and not one $1500 purchase. Or at least that I spend the money making payments and not one lump sum all at once.

I think all wives are like that. My wife says I am a big ticket buyer. I don't spend money alot but when I do, its a lot. She is the type that will buy a shirt or a pair of pants or a purse every other day. I asked her what was the difference and she says because it is not a lot of money at once. I told her that it all equals out in the end. lol I will say she is the one that pushed me to get the speakers I wanted. I was totally settled on getting a CM9 setup for hometheater and have a small 2 channel setup for the office with the Arcam a28 and some nice bookies and a sub. She said no, if this is not what your going to keep for the next couple of years then don;'t get it. She says up your budget and get what you want. I was blown away. She is hoping this is a means to an end of the constant gear changing cycle.

Thats a nice thing.

My wife said this is my setup for a while last time too. That is why I have been just adding the components and completing the setup, so Im in the final stages now. Surrounds, a DAC and a new TV will be it for a while. Little stuff won't matter, like cables or power supply or something like that, but no more $1k purchases. Im hoping to find the surrounds(DM2/6s) at a very reduced price, or used. I looked at the CM line, it was nice. I found that I liked Dali, Dynaudio much more then B&W. I actually grew up with my dad having B&Ws, so I always thought I would own them too.

That always seems to be the way doesn't it?

It looks like you'll get your shipment a day before me, can't wait to hear your impressions. I've had thoughts of just grabbing a 5i instead of the XS as I would like to save for a new bike.

What's wrong with the bike you have now? Didn't you just buy it last year?

Depending on how much I like the trials this summer and how hard I push it, will make the difference if I upgrade my bike next summer or not.

For the type of biking I'd like to get into in the second half of the summer the bike I have really isn't built to take the abuse, I'd likely spend as much time fixing it as I would riding it. A full suspension bike is really what's needed for the more challenging down hill courses. Going to take the first half of the summer to get in really good shape for the harder stuff later in the year.

Ahh, you plan to do it all this summer. I'm going to spread it out.

I've read many reviews when the thought of what type of riding I plan to do, and it seems I gotten lucky with what I bought. I'm not sure if I plan to get that hardcore, but if I do, it will be next year.

You have a diamondback?

Im sure the 5i could power the C1s just fine, its 50 wpc into 8 ohms, 90 into 4 ohms. If anything it might run out of steam at high volumes if you really try to push it hard. Heck if it can push the Sapphires, Im sure it could push the C1s just fine.

Actually i don't think it would. C1 being 4ohms the 5i drives more power so i don't think it's an issue. this is what is so great about 4ohms stable amps is it can drive more power at a lower impedance.

well Rhett and George both said the 5i was able to power the Sapphires with good volume and dynamics, but started to run out of steam as it got higher in volume.
