Anyone interested in attempting some Indiana Jones covers using these prints by artist Maxime Pecourt?!

I might after I am done with my current set. Do you know where high res versions of these are?

Speaking of that, I will probably offer an alternative cover (using the other well-known TOD artwork) for the Temple of Doom custom because I'm not entirely happy with how this one is turning out:

To me, pieces like these are amazing on an artistic level, but I find them far from satisfying as artwork to represent the appeal of the films. They're just too abstract.

Besides, the headpiece for the staff of Ra (?) was not the actual McGuffin for Raiders, the ark was.

For the spine I used the font suggested by Imrahil. It is the font used for the title in the movies "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade".

Curiously the more familiar Indiana Jones font was used for the title sequence in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (I recall Kate Capshaw dancing in front of it obscuring part of Indy's name), but when the third movie opened five years later it had returned to the more elegant font used in "Raiders" titles:

I gave the font a white contour (outside) to most closely replicate how it appears on screen.

The font is so small (10.3 pt) because I had to ensure it would fit Indy 4's insanely long title (for which I will have to use "&").

Here's a 3-D representation of the cover:

Comments/Suggestions are (as always) welcome.

Here is "Last Crusade" using the "Raiders" template. Note: These are both still WIP's, but I needed to know if what i was doing would fit the other movies.

and "Raiders":

I think the tagline is a bit much. I would rather the blurb and pics. But that is just me.

As for the spine. I like the route you are taking. It just seems so short and high on the spine... which changes with each movie.

Not sure it can help, but maybe the same font but with the color gradient of the front title.

I would, but I don't have the consent of Maxime Pecourt... or do I?

I think it would be a bit too much to apply the color gradient to the spine title. I have the color gradient saved so it would be easy to do, but then it would not match the titles of the movies anymore.

I agree about the tagline the more I look at it. The back cover would be better served by an additional photo and a taller blurb.

BTW, here are my two versions of the Temple of Doom covers...any preferences?

I need an opinion.

Removing the tagline allows for a taller blurb, or two more pictures (under the blurb). I'm in tweo minds,,,what do people think?

So you're saying you get the consent of the artists behind any original poster art you may use?

Work in progress for an Indiana Jones collection custom cover. For those who won't buy or discard Crystal Skull. There will be a big collage of paintings on the front, similar to my Star Wars covers. Feedback appreciated!

I love it so far! My only complaint is that the main text on the back is very small. But I love the background texture, the items on the back and the photos at the top of the back.

This is beautifully amazing! I really dig how you brought the dark feel of the movie, into the slip cover art. It's so much more honest to the film, than what is used as the cover. Do you think you could make a cover for it? I would love to have this for my copy of the film that I'll be getting soon.

Wouldn't take long to convert it to a cover for the case itself, so definitely!

That's a great job (again)!

But I have 2 things that bother me...
The first one is where will you put the specs of each discs?
And the other one is about the spine (I really don't like them)
I wonder why you didn't take the easier route using the same font as on the posters and your front covers? (same font as on the spine of the actual Paramount's Blu Ray of the "Crystal Skull")

Apart from those 2 things it's awesome
